We took a family vacation and stayed in unit 130. The unit was beautiful and had every amenity we needed. It was centrally located close to the ocean, shopping, beaches and food. The management was very accessible and gave us ideas for local things to do. The people were wonderful and the unit exceeded our expectations. We would highly recommend this location!

We stayed in room 123, it felt as if you were "on" the water! When you walk in the door, it's as if you were boarding a very expensive cruise ship, that's how, on the water it was. The sound of the waves crashing, the palm trees swaying and the whales spouting by. Nothing but blue or sunrise and sunset skies between us and the ocean. It was more than we could have ever expected. All the amenities. We enjoyed the Cliffside pool and jacuzzi...the bbq grill overlooking the cove. We saw so many whales, sunrise and sunset from our balcony. I could move right in and feel completely at home. Everything you want and need was right there. We loved the large lanai and had a champagne toast to an orange glow sunset, with whales swimming so close by. It was majestic! We went just a short walk away to the Kukuiula shops. We had Uncles famous shave ice, wow! Later we returned for dinner @Dolphins for amazing sushi and Lapperts famous ice cream for dessert. We had such an amazing experience...we will definitely return and would want this particular unit 123, right on the water. Mahalo Marianne Martin for our welcome basket of goodies, my husband plowed through the macadamia nuts and candies, what a special treat! We had a blessed, memorable wedding anniversay, that we will cherish forever!

Stayed just one night to be in town for the Annual Koloa Plantation Days parade and festival. Apartment 131 (which is actually on the 2nd floor). Beautifully kept two floor unit with a view from the bathtub to die for. Decorated in a tropical style with a huge fluffy master bed with an ocean side view. The second bedroom has a nice view towards the fields. Pictures I posted tell everything. Office staff is very helpful.

Another gem is the walk through the residential area to Baby Beach. The closest sandy area. I stoped and talked to Uncle watering the lawn and other neighbors gardening. Safe all around. You can walk to the shopping center with all the fine dining too.

Aloha and Mahalo for your kind words! Koloa Plantation Days Festival is so much fun. Usually about 10-14 days with a variety of island activities. Plans are underway for next July!

We had a great stay at Whalers Cove over Thanksgiving week! We were very happy with the resort, room and all the staff at the resort. Following are some of the major details.

Rooms:
The room (#136) was very clean, spacious and well-furnished. The kitchen was well-stocked with utensils and the dishwasher, washer and dryer were a big help. The beds were comfortable and the ocean views from the room were great. The owners have done a great job in furnishing and maintaining the unit!

Staff:
All the staff were friendly and helpful and a huge shout-out to Marianne for all her help and guidance during our stay. She very graciously accommodated our requests of early check-in and late check-out and also gave us lot of tips on sightseeing and activities.

Amenities:
The parking and WiFi were free and the WiFi was generally reliable.

Location:
The resort is located in a quiet area close to Poipu resort area and old Koloa town. It is very close (walkable) to Baby Beach and less than a 5 min drive away to Spouting Horn park. Kukui’ula Village and Poipu Shopping Village are very close by too.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay at Whalers Cove Resort and highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a quiet family time in Poipu.

Room Tip: Choose ocean-front rooms. They are worth the views!

The location is awesome. Our lanai was steps from the ocean (no beach though). Beautiful grounds. The condo itself was okay. It was pretty large, but rather dated. We had an ant infestation in the kitchen. An exterminator came and the problem was solved for a day, but then the ants were back a day later, which was less than ideal.
