A family favorite each time we visit. Locally owned and operated for over 75 years. Always a tasty meal. No long waits for a table. Affordable. Friendly staff. Not a beautiful location but very pleasant meal.

We were looking for a local place for dinner on Kauai near the airport. Someone recommended this place as one where we'd find friendly service and great food.

Right on the first point: the staff was very warm, welcoming and efficient. The food, however ... not so good. The fried chicken and shrimp were so overdone and hard as to be virtually inedible. The spareribs were at least tasty. Regret the very negative review given the nice people that work there, but that's the way it was.

Got a little time between flights? Or tired of the typical resort restaurant fare? This restaurant has been in business for over 75 years. Friendly service and family owned. Guaranteed great meal!

Don't be fooled by the Barbeque moniker. This place has all kinds of homestyle food. We tried it out for lunch, and had the shrimp alfredo and the kalua pork and cabbage. Soup or salad and drink are included along with dessert. We had the hearty potato soup and the mixed greens salad and finished with pumpkin crisp and the chocolate banana pie. No cans or thawed frozen stuff here. Everything was tasty. It costs more than McDonalds, but it is much better than most Kawai restaurants. They take a siesta everyday from 1:30-4:30.

We visited this restaurant today. Tucked away off the main street this little gem is so cute. I had the don burri and my boyfriend had the chicken cutlet. Both came with soup. Fresh, fast and tasty. Looking forward to the next visit already.
