Dukes it one of the only places open past 9pm. It saved us when we got hungry late. You must try the Ahi Poke and a few Mai Tai's. Don't forget to finish the meal with the Pie

This Restaurant is in a beautiful beachfront setting! Inside the restaurant is a lovely waterfall feature with koi. We were there for an early dinner mid week and it was almost full but we were willing to sit inside by the koi pond so didn’t have a wait.
We had the fish and chips and the steak dinner and shared. Both were very nice. At the suggestion of our server, I had the Tropical Itch cocktail. It was very nice and served in a fun way that should be a surprise.
The treat of the night was the Hula Pie. Wait until you get your first bite before you offer to share.
There is another section of Duke’s upstairs serving dinner but we didn’t eat there.

Stopped for a cocktail. Nice bar by the water. Great live entertainment by the waterfall. Busy place. Beautiful scenery.
Ordered pineapple mojitos. Lots of pineapple in drink, very little alcohol. Did not finish drinks, didn't like them. Just our opinion. Sorry.

This was my second time at Duke’s in Kaua’i. The atmosphere is wonderful!! If you can, make reservations and ask to sit upstairs on the balcony area. You can also walk in and sit downstairs in the bar area. The menus are slightly different from upstairs to downstairs, but great food either way. The sunsets are fabulous also. It is an open air restaurant, casual but don’t be afraid to dress up. The waitstaff is on top of it and attentive without hovering.
You must try the original Hula pie!! There is plenty to share so make sure you save a little room.
There is also a Duke’s in Waikiki I have not tried yet! But nothing could beat the atmosphere at Duke’s in Kaua’i!! Don’t forget to get a t-shirt and I recommend valet parking because the parking lot can be quite full!!

My wife and I arrived at the Marriott Resort in time for lunch and decided that Dukes was the place to go. Lucky for us because the service and food was outstanding. Great views only helped to make this a memorable lunch. We will definitely be coming again.
