We were concerned going in witb some of the reviews but we will stay here again. When we got here they had fruit prepared for my wifes birthday. We had an issue witb the refrigerator and they replaced immediately. Our room was clean. The location pf this hotel is ideal. The staff wS great. Does it need a refresh, yes. We jad the premium ocean front and I recomend, these rooms have awesome views and plenty of room. Bathroom is small bit no big deal. Biggest issue we had was with parking on evenr nights. It ia unfair that we pay for parkimf then struggle to find parking. It is also not right that there are those who use the parking lot for the beach but dont pay. Will stay here again.

We spent one week on Kauai at this location. Our first room was on the ground floor, while it was clean, it was damp and smelled very musty with a strong smell of air freshener to mask the odor. We went to the front desk and asked to be relocated and they immediately apologized and moved us to a room on the 3rd floor. I’m glad this happened because we got a room with ocean view and were away from the pool area. The rooms were clean, beds comfortable, and staff was very friendly and tended to any needs we had. The food was good and on par price wise with the rest of the island. There are plenty of local food places close by, some within walking distance and downtown Kapa’a is just one mile away. Long’s Drug store located behind the hotel was nice for convenience items, to include cases of water for $3.50, compared to the $10 at Safeway! The pool and hot tub are nice, but can get loud when lots of children are there. This only occurred one day and was probably more so because of lack of parenting. Also, would suggest that the hotel enforce no kids in the hot tub! It’s a hot tub to relax, not a kiddie pool for all of your little ones! The beach is nice, but too rocky and rough if you expect to swim or wade. Local beaches are nearby though. We would stay here again.

Room Tip: Rooms on the upper floor are quieter and not as damp as the ground floor.

I would totally come back to this Hotel!!
From the moment we arrived we were happily surprised at how much we loved it!! We did a Ocean view room and it was amazing! Our room was 350 and looked over the pool and the ocean! I love that they had rentals for beach days!! Chairs, sand toys, coolers! Perfect!! Even on the day we got down there late to get chairs the managed to find is some! The staff was friendly and helpful!

The pool was awesome and it's nice to have drinks and food by the pool on days that we were to tired to adventure out! Although the food was nothing to write home about and I wasn't impressed with the service pool side it also wasn't a big deal!! The Monday night singers by the pool were amazing and we could even sit and listen from our room which was nice!

They accommodated our needs and even gave us a rollaway with no up changes! That's HUGE!! They do have a $20 day resort fee but that's not uncommon nowadays as you usually do have resort fees or cleaning fees and when the extras like rollaways and rentals it was more than worth it!!!!!
I will recommend this to anyone going! We were also thrilled with the location as we saw some off the other locations of hotels we could have booked and I think we lucked out and choose right! The beach isn't a swimming beach more of a wade your feet and sand playing beach but we didn't mind even my kids because it was so fun to venture to beaches and see the island that it wasn't a factor!!!

We stay a week long at this hotel with our two kids, and they all have fun. The hotel has everything we needed. They have a large pool, a bar, a restaurant and beach front. The also has chairs, umbrellas and coolers that you can borrow and bring with you to the beach.

This is the final leg of our 2 Islands Hawaiian family vacation - Oahu first then here in Kauai!
Wow! This is amazingly beautiful hotel, with spectacular view of the beach, although not a swimmable beach, but the serenity & the breathtaking sceneries of the hotel & around it makes up for it!
Quite a pleasant change from our vacation in Oahu - Not congested @ all! Even our 2 kids ages 17 & 22 loves the Island & the hotel!
The hotel being a Marriott didn't disappoint us. The ground is very well kept & clean, staffs were courteous & friendly, foods @ the restaurant & the bar were excellent & reasonably priced by hotel standards . Between 3-6pm, there's a bar special- Happy hours as the food & drinks are discounted. There were entertainment - local singers @ the bar for certain hours while we were there for a few days & Offers Luau on a certain dates in the hotel grounds!
There's an expedia office on site down in the lobby to book all your activities of your choices. Free coffee between 7 to 10:00 am in front of the voyager restaurant , what a nice touch!
We had pool & ocean view room with a tiny ( I mean really small!) balcony, but really comfortable & nicely appointed room! it has a small refrigerator & a coffee maker. No complaints with the maid as they did their job well. Rooms were clean & towels replaced.
In front of the hotel, there's the " Longs Drug store " were you can purchase anything from food to drinks, snacks & even souvenir items . Within walking distances there are 2 strip malls shopping places you can go to, one is the Waipoli town center where McDonald's is located,etc..., then the 2nd strip mall is the Kauai village where ABC store, Starbucks, subway,Panda Express & many more little shops are located.
We had a rental car in Kauai as part of our vacation package that we booked through Costco & we just drove around to picturesque places like the wailua falls , Koloa Historic town , Poipu beach to see the spouting horn , ate @ the coconut marketplace & our kids ages 22 & 17 drove themselves to their ATV & waterfalls adventure -a 50 minutes drive away from the hotel.
Over all, our experience with this hotel & the Island is exceptionally good! We will definitely come back to this Island of Beautiful Kauai & to this hotel! I will highly recommend this hotel to all of my friends & families !
We checked out on August 6- Sunday @ 12 pm, but our flight to the mainland was @ 9:45 pm , so the 3 awesome, beautiful, friendly, helpful & full of smiles ladies @ the front desk @ the time of our checking out offered to have our luggages be kept in their office so we can still drive around to the Island to see more spectacular sceneries & we did! Those ladies were fantastic! They treated us as their part of the family! Our highest respect to you 3 ladies @ the front desk! Thanks!
