Breakfast in Kalaheo on way from Lahue to Waimea and what better stop than the Kalaheo Cafe & Coffee Company. You come in, find a table, figure out what you want to eat from a variety of enticing items, place your order, get a number and return to your table to wait for your breakfast to be served. Coffee has already been poured. I had the Kahili Breakfast (Portuguese sausage, ham, green onions, tomatoes and melted Monterey Jack cheese scrambled with 3 eggs) and it was great.

Always eat here when we're on island! Their cajan tofu and eggplant wrap is TO DIE FOR. I've never found anything else like it. Ate here for dinner a few times, but honestly prefer the lunch (the prices are better too). It's not cheap, but really quality food. Great place to stop and grab something on your way up to Kokee. It's almost always busy though so parking can be a small nightmare. I usually just park across the street at Brick Oven.

We had dinner here one evening and returned a few days later for breakfast. The dinner was pretty good. I would rate it a 7 out of 10, but breakfast was a very good 9. There was quite a crowd for breakfast, but they were organized and the service was fairly fast and the food was excellent.

Not much choice in this town, but not bad either. My second time here. On way to Port Allen, stopped by for Cafe Club Sandwich (without sprouts, can't stand them). Good size sandwich. My suggestion to the chef ... CLEAN the knife after cutting EACH sandwich. Horseradish was cross-contaminated into my otherwise good meal which ruined every other bite. Lucky I'm not allergic, eh? Specials are usually froo-froo yuppee, but menu has good selection. The big jug of lemon water is a plus!
