We spent five magical days as a family (parents and adult daughters) at Kings' Land, and fell in love with the Big Island all over again. This was our first time staying in a timeshare on the Big Island, and the conveniences afforded (cooking, washer/dryer, etc.) made our visit even more relaxing. The resort is impeccably landscaped and maintained, and the interior design in the units is very high end, with large lanais with beautiful views. The resort is a perfectly tranquil reflection of the beautifully eerie, peaceful spirit of the island itself.
The location is great - convenient to Kailua-Kona, Waimea Town and the Saddle Road to MaunaKea/Hilo. We made several trips over to the King's Shops and Queen's Marketplace, two minutes down the street, where there is food shopping, movies, restaurants, etc. It would be nice if each building had its own pool, but the main pool area is lovely, and was usually not too crowded. Some days in the late afternoons we had it nearly to ourselves. The breakfast buffet offered off the lobby was a good value and offered a selection that everyone was happy with.
This resort and the mysterious Big Island itself were the perfect follow-up to a busy, active week on O'ahu. We are still reminiscing about our trip, and can't wait to return to Kings' Land next summer with the rest of the family for a longer stay!
