“Charming and Breathtaking”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 February 2012

My family and I had the most wonderful time at this B&B. We stayed in the Garden Bungalow and it was perfect for a family of four. Our host Todd showed us to our cottage and we thought we were transported to another time. Beautifully nestled in a corner of their tropical paradise. The cottage was spacious, very clean and had all the amenities one could wish for. We thoroughly enjoyed the kitchen and eating on the little lanai while listening to the birds. Our breakfasts were amazing cooked by Todd's mom who was visiting. What a gourmet chef. Thanks for a wonderful time. We will be sure to tell all our friends.

Room Tip: Garden Bungalow is great for families.

We are a Couple that stayed in this room. It was everything and more of what we imagined. Todd the owner/chef had a detailed map and letter at front door explaining attractions and about room. Inside room there was detailed instruction on how everything worked. His mother is amazing. If I had a problem she solved it. We also have a flight leaving real early in morning she packed us a breakfast for the early morning. Thats amazing seriously! the breakfast is yummy and tasty and gardens are so beautiful. I recommend this place to anyone. This is second time staying at a bed and breakfast. They are much more fun then hotels. you get to exchange info on places what better way.

We are a family with 2 small kids (7 and 5), and we stayed in their bungalow the first few nights in Hawaii, which turned out to be a godsend. The girls were still in east coast time, and woke up at 5am, but we weren't worried about waking the guests, because the bungalow is separate from the main house. Kitchenette has a coffee maker, with ground kona coffee, so that was all my husband and I needed until breakfast time. Did notice a dog poo in the bungalow front yard, somewhat off putting.
But, the bungalow was inviting and clean, and the garden was lovely. Ginny was a wonderful host, breakfast was delicious. Very poor internet reception (we have AT&T), couldn't get onto their WiFi, but that was okay; it was kind of nice to be cut loose from the internet for a bit. Great DVD collection, lots even for little kids. This B&B is only 15 minutes away from one of our favorite things we did in Hawaii: black sand beach Kalapana(not for swimming, just for the beauty).
We would definately come back to Coconut Cottage again!

My wife and I stayed here for three nights in February. We decided to stay here in part, based on the reviews that I read in Trip Advisor. I was very disappointed in the cleanliness of the detached cottage that we stayed in. The picture on the web site of the cottage was a lot different from all the mold and other growths in the porch area that we observed. The owners claim that there is no detail too small was not confirmed by our visit. The venetian blinds were very dirty, there was mold/mildew all over the bathroom, the ceiling fan blades bumped up against the bedframe, one of the dining chairs was broken, the kitchen cabinets were dirty, the refrigerator made a lot of clunking sounds when it cycled on, the entire level of cleanliness in the cottage was just not acceptable. The owners were not there to great us, and we never saw them. The only amenity in the cottage was a little basket of vending machine junk food. Also, much to my surprise, the owners accessed my credit card almost two weeks before I arrived to pay the balance of my bill, after the deposit was paid several months in advance.

First class all the way. We were greeted by one of the hosts, Todd and he showed us to our room. We stayed in the Bali room. It was beautiful! Very clean and decorated nicely. Amazing gardens and scrumptous breakfasts too! Very close to all the sightseeing things in the area. Loved every minute!!
