Keeau Place was wonderful! Clean, comfortable...so comfortable that I want to know what type of mattress they have! Very roomy for the two of us, and the lanai was a perfect place to enjoy a morining cup of coffee. The hot tub was a bonus! As others have said, it was very quiet and private; we didn't see anyone else the entire time we were there (including the hosts, which is fine with us). There is nothing I would change about the place; if we ever get back to Hilo, we will defintely stay there.

It is very unfortunate that someone left a 1 star for here because they could not find it in year 2016 where GPS is in $30 phones right now. IMO Tripadvisor should remove those kinds of reviews.

If I ever want to manage a small hotel, I don't think I can do better than the owner of this one. Here's what I see:

1-Full kitchen, tea, coffee, milk, everything is there.
2-Umbrellas are waiting near the door (and you will probably need them!)
3-Unlimited filtered drinking water (while big box hotels want to charge you $7 per bottle!)
4-Solar energy powering the whole place.
5-Parking 4 meters from the door!
6-A working A/C! Most other accommodations in this area does not have A/C.
7-All of these with a pretty low daily price!

My main reasoning for choosing this hotel was really the A/C since most others do not have it. And I am very happy I chose this one.

Please keep up the good work!

We were so lucky to find the Keaau Place on the internet while planning our trip to Big Island! The studio is spotless and located in a very quite residential area. It's very close to food and things to do, but also private and relaxed. The studio has everything you could possibly need, right down to the detergent and dryer sheets. Relaxing in the salt water hot tub was a great way to wind down after a day of adventures. The caretakers, Brad and Myra, are lovely and very accommodating people who have a knack for making you feel right at home instantly. We have already recommended this place to our friends and family, and we can't wait to come back! Mahalo!

Absolutely lovely place to stay where the owners have thought of every need you might have. The insects were noisy but that can't be helped, and the place was incredibly quiet apart from that. Brilliant stay with amazingly helpful caretakers in Brad and Myra.

We stayed here for 4 nights. It was beautiful. The owners are very friendly and care about their facility.
There are nearly every items you could imagine. The jacuzzi was nice too ;)
It is clean, places to buy smth nearby and the price is nice for this high end equipped accommodation.
