We really enjoyed our stay! The place was charming, clean and so peaceful! Exactly what we needed to start our big island getaway!

We stayed for 2 wonderful nights. Our beds were incredibly comfortable. Both mornings we were greeted by our friendly hosts with a nice warm breakfast!

If you want to treat yourself to real serenity this is a great place! Highly recommend it!

My husband and I stayed at the Palms Cliff House Inn while we visited Hilo as part of our honeymoon. It was wonderful! We loved sitting on our private porch watching the sunset and the jacuzzi tub was divine! The breakfast is great, unique every day and served outside on the wrap around porch so that you can enjoy the scenery even more. As other reviewers have mentioned, the wifi was spotty...but we didn't mind as we weren't trying to use it that much.

As promised, this is an old plantation house set on a cliff overlooking the ocean. The views from the veranda are stunning and the ocean breezes and sounds of the waves let you know that you are truly on vacation. This is a great location near Akaka Falls and easily accessible to Hilo. The staff was accommodating and the breakfast was excellent. The room, however, was starting to fray around the edges a bit and could use an upgrade. But just one glance at the ocean and all is forgiven.

Perfect location, on a cliff with amazing view to the ocean. We had the "Ocean splendor" apartment. You can see the view in the picture. We had a suite and it was very comfortable. There is a whirlpool in the room and the fireplace works.
The hosts were very welcoming and gave us great tips. The breakfast was delicious and not boring. We stayed for three days and every day it was different.
It's the perfect place if you need to escape from a busy life.
Two points to consider: 1. the wifi is very poor (barely worked on the google pixel phone and not at all on my iphone 7) and there was no cellular reception. If you don't need to be always reachable that's not a problem because on the breakfast terrace or in the yard, you get mobile phone reception. 2. The place is so amazing because it is located in a tropical forrest, so do expect little creatures around you. They are perfectly harmless! We hosted a tiny lizard in the bathroom for a night :-). Also, you can hear the birds singing throughout the night, even with the windows closed. We found it lovely but if you like your silence, bring dome earplugs :-)

We had a zipline tour at Akaka falls and wanted stay close by. We booked this placed because it was so close to Akaka falls. After reaching there, we were pleasantly surprised by this property. We were welcomed by the staff and treated with delicious breakfast in the morning. This place has so many amenities that one must stay there multiple nights to get the full benefit. This place was very well maintained and had gorgeous views of the ocean. We especially loved the rooms and the Victorian architecture of the facility.

Room Tip: Higher floor has AC
