“This was the most relaxing vacation we've ever spent!”

Our stay at Rustler's Roost in Cody WY was a most relaxing experience. The sound of the river from the back deck echoed into the cabin at night as we slept with our windows open. All rooms were spaceous and exactly as described on the website. We were not far from the East entrance to Yellowstone National Park. The drive to and from the cabin was a beautiful scenic veiw everywhere you looked! We could not have asked for a better place for our trip. Diana, cabin manager, was precious. We never knew she or her husband, George, was anywhere on the place. They are a friendly couple ready to meet any need or answer any question should you have one. We haven't stopped talking about our trip or the place we stayed since we got home. All our friends are very interested in hopefully staying at Rustler's Roost on their trip to Cody WY.

We had a wonderful time at Rustler's which we used as our 'home' while visiting Yellowstone and the area surrounding Cody. The cabin has absolutely everything you need and Diana is a gracious host. She knows the area very well and can suggest great day trips or shorter evening drives to introduce you to this part of Wyoming.

It was so refreshing to sit on the deck and watch the Shoshine River flow a few yards away and listen to it when you go to bed. The cabin is well maintained and has an air conditioner for those who need it. We don't have children but it would be a great place to take them so they could see horses and a couple very quiet and friendly dogs.

We will certainly go back and definitely stay here! Loved it.

“Incredible vacation spot in this region!”
Reviewed 26 July 2011 for a stay in July 2011

We arrived to an inviting home and loved the location and what we were able to do from our cabin on the river. Every morning as we sipped our coffee, we listened to a chorus of geese flying up the river. The view of the mountains just across the river is absolutely spectacular and the South Fork Valley in general. We both travel a lot for work and pleasure and of all the places we have ever been--all over the world--this is one of our FAVORITES. Making reservations was easy and check-in was too. Diana and George are wonderful hosts. They made sure we had everything we needed and the cabin was well-stocked with essentials for cooking and comfort. We ate in a lot and also ate out and had suggestions from Diana of where to go to shop for groceries and dining. We learned a lot about the area and local history, outdoor activities, etc. from Diana and George. Listening to the Shoshone River running in front of our cabin was melodic and in the evening lulled us to sleep. We had such fun with daily excursions from this amazingly perfect location only 15 minutes from town: Old Trail Town (was our number one destination), the Irma Hotel, Buffalo Bill Historical Museum, and Yellowstone National Park. I had visited Cody 34 years ago when in college and this was a long-awaited return to the place I had always wanted to come back to. It couldn't have been a better vacation for both of us. We felt so welcome and so very well taken care of and also had the peaceful privacy of being in the country but just a few minutes from town. The roads to and from Rustler's Roost were paved and in great condition. It really was the faraway nearby. Thanks Diana and George! We will be back~
