“Clean and utilitarian....FREE Internet”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 December 2011

Here's the deal. Cheyenne is a missed opportunity. They need a business minded Mayor and City Council. Downtown desperately needs a classy hotel, restaurants and coffee shops that actually stay OPEN at night. So we were banished to the really generic Marriott.

Not such a bad thing. It was clean and staffed with an accomodating desk clerk. I believe we paid $109. King room that was on the small side. Enjoyed the spacious bathroom counters. Also a nice sized flat screen television. The biggest problem was the a/c was in the wall, near the bed and was so darn noisy. I really could not sleep without waking everytime the wall shook. Lastly, I prefer a bathtub. The room only had a shower, although it was large and very modern....and clean!

Thank you Marriott for not charging for internet.

Room Tip: If you prefer a bath tub, you need to tell them but you'll have to settle for a queen room. Non...

The Cheyenne Spring Hills Suites is a fairly new hotel. When coming into Cheyenne on 80 from the east you will not see the hotel from the interstate but it is within a 1/4 mile and kind of hidden behind the Holiday Inn. From the west on 80 it will be readily apparent where it is as you approach the exit. That said, this is a nice hotel, clean, the staff was welcoming and our beds were very comfortable. Even though the hotel is adjacent the freeway, noise was not an issue. if you are an exercise person, the workout room has nice new equipment, was clean, everything operational and functioning and clean towels available. Breakfast was typical fare, hot options and of good quality. I would stay here again. My only complaint if one, is during the winter, they did a better job of plowing or at least sanding the parking lot. It was difficult to obtain traction and I had to place my truck in 4WD to get going. Other than that it is a great location and worth the stop.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the south side with views looking over south Cheyenne vs. a view of the interstate...

The Spring Hill Suites Mariott in Cheyenne is very nice hotel. Standard rooms include a small sitting area seperate from the sleeping area with fridge and microwave. Large screen TV visable from all areas. The room smelled fresh and clean. Bath was large and clean. There is a small grocery area with snacks, drinks, frozen dinners, asprin, etc. Good breakfast. No bar or restaraunt but the hotel next door has one within walking distance. Good clean place to stay!

Room Tip: Ask for room facing away from highway.

This is a fairly new, nice property. Room was clean and as advertised. First time i have ever been in a hotel that provided ear plugs and a white noise machine. Understood why when i heard the noise from the highway - which is VERY close to the rooms on the highway side. Try to get a room on the front side. Decent complementary hot breakfast with the usual stuff.

Room Tip: Request a room away from the highway side..

This was at least our third stay at this hotel. As always our room facing the parking was clean, spacey, had a refrigerator and microwave. The front desk clerk couldn't be more pleasant and accommodating. It is a very convenient hotel for our trips to or from Alaska. Pets are not allowed in this hotel and someone left a dog in a car. A poor animal was barking and whining very loudly. We called a front desk and a clerk assured us he would do everything possible to find the owners. After about a half hour dog stopped barking. I would definitely stay there again.
