My parents, as a holiday gift, treated me, my boyfriend, my brother, his wife and my 14 month old nephew to a weekend in the Dells. We stayed here in the Glacier canyon end of the resort. It was a blast. I thought going in winter would make it less fun but there are 3 indoor water parks to choose from, mini golf, a high ropes course, a haunted house (not scary so little kids are ok), a mirror maze and 2 arcades. There are definitely plenty of activities. All in all our experience was great. We went to the spa that a still on campus but a short 2 minute drive (in winter). It was gorgeous and one of the best spas I've ever been to. Very relaxing. The slides are really fun and there are a few we could even take my nephew on. My only complaints would be the restaurant/food choices. They aren't very good and they are overpriced. Maybe drive around to the local places for dinner or lunch. Also, make sure you know where your room is. We had the VERY last room on the farthest end of the resort. It was about a half hour walk just to get to anything and there was no "Ill just run back to the room" if you left something there. All in all, it was an amazing family trip and I would definitely go back again.

Room Tip: Make sure you ask for a room in building 1 or 2 if you are staying in the Glacier canyon part of the...

I usually go with multiple families so we usually stay in the frontier condo and the glacier canyon condos. They are really nice and spacious and if you can go with multiple families and share the cost, that's the best way to go! But if you can't, the rooms need updating and they can get very noisy. We've only stayed in the regular hotel rooms twice and both times they did not insulate the sound very well. The whole complex is super big but they make it a little easier by providing free shuttles so I definitely recommend that versus walking especially if you've got strollers. The food is ok so we usually order out or go to a restaurant nearby. The parks are fun and there is a good variety from indoor wave pools, lazy rivers, and slides. If you can go in the summer, it's even better because we love the outside parks especially the one in Glacier Canyon. We usually go in peak times because of our children schedules so no discounts and it's usually very busy with longer lines on the slides but they are still not too bad of a wait. Overall we like the Wilderness. My only complaint is that we go so often, we collect the Wild Perks coupons given after every stay and it seems like they keep raising the amount needed to trade them in for benefits.

We have been here twice, both times in the winter. Everything is pretty spread out, but there is a lot to do for all ages! It's our favorite it the Dells! The rooms are so nice, and if you look around, you can usually find a good deal! Wild West is the best, and the wave pool!

Spent weekend in January at the Wilderness. Room cleanliness a problem and when we reported it to the motel desk staff, nothing happened!!! Nothing done to correct the problem the next day again! Their solution to the concern...just sent a $25 gift card......all I wanted was a clean room.....with no blood on the shower curtain or slits in it like someone had been murdered there! Will go elsewhere next visit!

Room Tip: Go elsewhere!

Stayed at this resort with our one year old and almost three year old. First of all, everything is very spread out. Bring a stroller if you have little ones! The room we stayed in was on the second floor. If only we had known what a nightmare that would be! It was like sleeping on a sidewalk in Times Square. So much foot traffic and people screaming at all hours. We got no sleep at all. We could also hear every whisper from the room connected to ours. Our room itself was so dirty that I wouldn't allow anyone to walk barefoot on the carpet. It was completely black with dirt. The waterparks were also freezing. We went in February and they had indoor/outdoor pools open which allowed the 20 degree air to come inside. Plus the water temperature was too cold. Our kids lips were chattering within 20 minutes. The food was also not good at all. Aside from the fact that I got food poisoning from the dinner buffet at the Wilderness Cafe on our last night, there were virtually no healthy food choices for us or the kids. Each restaurant on the property offered the same foods, and the kids options were hotdogs, chicekn fingers and pizza. The kids didn't want to eat anything by our last day. We also spend $13 on a pound of mixed candy at the candy store as a special treat, and it was all so old and stale we had to throw it out. We were very disappointed in our stay overall and won't be going back

Room Tip: Try to get a top floor room, if they have a floor above two. First floor will be loud overhead and...
