We had a great time and experience at the new Edgewater Supper Club on Pewaukee Lake. Sat at the bar before our reservation and enjoyed a very tasty Blood Orange Old Fashioned and dry Martini. The manager (Mr. Ko) was very pleasant, and very knowledgeable about the history of the location and the work that went into transforming the property into the elegant, yet comfortable, establishment it now is. We were seated next to one of the large new windows overlooking the lake on a very frigid night, but were not at all cold or uncomfortable. We ordered the Corn Fritters as an appetizer for our party of four, and they were excellent, with a sweet spicy sauce. Our table ordered the Creole Surf & Turf, cooked perfectly medium, although the filet had just kind of an odd texture for a filet, and not a lot of seasoning despite the crawfish scampi on top, and the bed of bourbon mashed sweet potatoes underneath. Strange, really. The 18oz Bone-In Ribeye was ordered and was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The Stuffed Trout ordered looked fantastic and was said to be delicious. Rounding out the table was a lamb dish, which was deemed unspectacular for the price. A disappointment to be sure, but not enough to detract from the overall experience. Service was attentive, if at times just slightly awkward as could be expected in a new setting, But overall very pleasant and eager to please.
So overall a very good experience in a beautiful setting, good food and drinks, with just a little room for improvement, and this place is bound to become more and more popular as word gets out and warmer weather starts to arrive(it will happen!).
Its definitely worth checking out!
