Between the fish fry, amazing cocktails (really well-priced mule!), vermouth carrots, and ribs, this was maybe one of the best meals my husband and I have had. Fun, nostalgic ambiance too. Would drive all the way up from Chicago to go again, and there's a lot of good food in Chicago!

We couldn't find a place open for dinner on Sunday evening and happened upon Swinging Door. Great Wisconsin vibe, good menu, friendly staff. I had the sirachi chicken with a side salad and hubby had the club sandwich with housemade chips, both were great.

This place is delicious. Favorite brunch place of several friends. Sometimes this place can be packed because it is a little small, but it seems to be a hidden gem for the brunch crowd. It is downtown, so parking can be a pain, but usually not too bad. Even if you think you don't like beets, you MUST try their roasted beets. The southwest scramble is an easy winner as is the triple grilled cheese.

Came here late morning on a Saturday. We had a table of 8 and they were able to easily accommodate us. As others have said it’s a bar with a small dining area. Fairly extensive lunch and brunch menu with large portions. Burgers and the pulled pork sandwich got rave reviews. I had the applewood smoked eggs Benedict with a side of garlic mashed potatoes. Excellent. Will definitely return.

1st visit to Swingin’ Door was great, I had beef tacos and my husband had Mahi Mahi tacos, both were wonderful. Sampled the carrot side dish too, very delish. Will definitely return.
