Description: Rookies Food & Spirits is the perfect place for the whole family. In addition to the bar and dining areas, Rookies features an authentic Wiffle ball field with an attached clubhouse that’s fantastic for birthdays, reunions, graduation parties, and other events. If you’re a sports fan, you won’t find a better place to watch all the games, local and national. We’re stocked with 29 TV screens; there’s not a bad seat in the house. Over 6,000 baseball cards cover the walls of the men’s room, and autographed memorabilia covers nearly every other square inch of the restaurant and bar, floor to ceiling. Owner Steve Schmitt, also owner of The Shoe Box and the Madison Mallards baseball team, has filled Rookies with his passion for sports in the form of the best collection of sports memorabilia this side of Cooperstown. Much of the memorabilia was donated and autographed by Steve’s personal friends. You won’t believe the collection until you see it. Whether you’re a sports fan, passionate about top-quality down-home American cooking, or just in the mood to have a drink with the friendliest staff in Wisconsin, Rookies has what you’re looking for. Stop by the best sports shrine in the area for a hot meal and a cold beer.

We happened to be on a day road trip when we came across this place. We decided to stop to have an appitizer and a cold beverage. This place was a sports fans dream. The memorabilia that has been collected by the owner of this place is amazing. All sports fans must stop here. This is a large sports resturant with indoor and outdoor seating. They have an outdoor wiffle ball diamond, like a small baseball field that you can rent out by the hour for parties. What a cool idea for work functions, bachelor parties, or just friends goofing off. The place is a large building, the staff was friendly, the place seemed to be busy and pretty clean. They had a nice beer menu with many selections to choose from. The food menu had lots to choose from. We had potato skins for an appitizer which were just ok and a BLT sandwich which was also ok. We will be back to try more of thier popular food item.....
This is a must stop kind of resturant, if you are anywhere near the area just to say you have visited this place.

If you are in the Dells area and looking for a unique experience a little bit of a drive out of the mass chaos of over-vacation drenched Dells - this place oozes with character. How quaint is it that a bar has SO much sports memorabelia AND wiffle ball court out back? We sat at the bar for hours and talked with the locals, learning about life in the area. Our awesome bartender, Jo Collins, was such a delight!. The food was typical bar fare - and decent quality (nothing to really rave about, but not disappointing either). Great stop!

There is so many sports memorabilia to look at you might not have time to eat. Other than the waitress getting my order incorrect, it was good. I really enjoyed the Philly steak sandwich.

What a fun place for lunch! A sports lovers dream with memorabilia from all sports and many teams.
The facility comes complete with a baseball diamond with dugout that can be reserved for whiffle ball games!
My lunch was the best Cobb salad that I have had in recent years. I selected the homemade buttermilk ranch dressing which was perfect with it.
Others at the table were very pleased with their burger, taco salad and the pulled pork.
Fun place with fair prices, generous servings and good food!
