I was super impressed with the service we received during our stay. The couple were really great about asking if we needed anything and being accomodating, but they weren't bugging us, either. The Casita is one of 3 cabins for rent on this property and for half of our stay the other two places were empty. Trout Lake is a beautiful sight from the porch and we loved the amount of 'toys' we were able to use for free; canoes, rowboats, kayaks. They also provided the life jackets. They even had some sand toys and dump trucks for my boys to play with.
As for the cabin itself, it was small, but very clean and we didn't need anything bigger. They were great and let our large dog and cat stay with us. All eating and cooking dishes/utensils were provided, down to even a pitcher, along with wash cloths, towels, hand soap, firewood, matches, etc.
Overall, wonderful place and we will definitely stay there again if we're up at Boulder Junction for vacation again.
Every year our family camps at Crystal Lake, a mere 10 miles away from here. We live in CA, so camping is problematic. We stumbled upon Campo Fiesta through an internet search. When we first arrived, we walked into the cabin and wondered what we were doing! The cabin is dated with wood paneling on the walls and hard floors. But after a day, we were pleased at our choice. The property is huge, connects by trail to state forest, the lake is sandy bottomed. Our cabin was two bedrooms, one bath, small kitchen. We had a Weber BBQ and a fire pit with plenty of wood. There are two other cabins and the main house, as well as the old dining hall turned game room. It was very private, quiet and homey. We will definitely stay here again!
