We have been coming back for the past few years and have always enjoyed our experience. The server promptly took our order and the food that came out was great. I had a Salad with ahi tuna and and another person at our table had duck.

Yesterday (6/24), we drove down to Shepherdstown for the afternoon, and our main goal was to visit the Museum, which is only open on weekends, and only from 1-4. This beautiful, charming town invited us to explore, and before we knew it, we were faced with a choice. It was 2:30, we had not visited the Museum, which closes at 4, but we were starving, (as we had overslept breakfast), and the Bistro 112 would stop serving lunch at 3. So, decided that lunch was the priority right now, and, unfortunately, the Museum would have to be skipped.

This building has the narrowest doors, but we made it inside, and found the interior delightful. Looks like a small French bistro, somewhere in a tiny alley in Paris. One table by the window was unoccupied, and we were happy to be seated there. The window looked out at their “Main” Street, which here is named “German”. The French flag flew outside above our heads.

Lots of wonderful choices on the menu, but when I see “mussels”, that is it. My husband chose the special of the day, which was an omelette. He said it was the best omelette, he has ever eaten. It came with local sausage, potatoes, and orange baby tomatoes. He was so pleased. As was I, as my mussels in a lovely creamy sauce were excellent. The presentation was beautiful, with no stray drops of food anywhere. Since it was a very warm day, we each had a local draft IPA beer with our food. Did see that they have an extensive wine list.

The music was relaxing, and set at perfect volume. Service was excellent; attentive and gracious. This was the best and most pleasant lunch we have had on this trip.

Arrived about 2:00 for late lunch, Father's Day party of seven. We were seated upstairs. nice french decor waitress was excellent. Ordered several dishes, can't remember exactly what everyone had, but everyone seemed to enjoy. I had the roast beef aus sandwich, tender roast beef, with sauce on rye , french fries. Fries were good but not outstanding. Over all good friendly service, only complaint was two people ordered soup and it was very salty, but tasty. Was a bit pricey, but what the heck it was Father's Day.

We had a wonderful dinner at the Bistro. The food was delicious and the staff provided top notch service, comparable to any 5 star restaurant. The protiens were prepared exactly to our liking. The mousse and creme brulee were divine.

What a delightful surprise! We sat at a high-top in the bar area, and it was very comfortable. My daughter ordered the Chicken dish with white wine sauce and it was excellent! I had the Farmers' Delight (fried eggplant with a beautiful assortment of very thin sliced summer squash in a tomato-based sauce). My mouth is watering just thinking about it. I am not a push-over for a dining experience, but this was just one of the best ever! Thank you for such a wonderful evening with my daughter!
