The French Goat was a lovely restaurant in an old home and has been beautifully restored. The covered porch would be a wonderful place to have a cocktail before entering the restaurant.
The interior was divided into nicely decorated rooms with soft yellow paint, white trim, and colorful paintings. There were several sized tables in each of the rooms. The bar was great. It was an old wooded one with a marble top. The opposite wall was wallpapered with with drawings of goat faces.
The lunch menu for our group of friends included a choice of a soup or salad, chicken salad, a burger, or quiche, and a lemon or chocolate dessert. Everything was prepared and presented beautifully.
The wait staff was friendly and efficient. The owner came to the table and spoke with us.
This restaurant was everything I had hoped for and more!
