I cannot say enough good things about A Governor's Inn! Charla and Jack are the most gracious of hosts in this incredible Victorian home. I felt as if I stepped back in time. We stayed in the Abbey room and had 3 nights of peaceful sleep in our comfortable and well appointed room. The bathroom is huge and had the softest towels EVER! Saving the best for last, I have to mention the breakfast at this amazing Bed & Breakfast. Every morning of our stay we sat down for a 5 course meal served on fine Victorian china. Charla is an incredible chef and served delicious recipes that fit the time period that the home was built. Mind blown......

A Governor's Inn is unlike any other B&B that we have ever experienced. The home exudes history and charm, but even more than those, it feels totally peaceful. Charla and Jack demonstrate hospitality as easily as they breathe. The gourmet breakfast is like that at a first-class restaurant. My husband and I stayed at the inn last May, and were so impressed that we took our friends there this past weekend to have their first B&B experience, knowing that it will spoil them for any other B&B they might try!

My husband and I were looking to get away for a few days over the Labor day weekend and we decided to stay at the Governor's Inn. The home has amazing history, architecture and is very well maintained. Our bed was extremely comfortable and we slept very well. The highlight of the stay had to be the homemade breakfast by our gracious hosts, Char and Jack. It was a 5 course feast, made from scratch. You really feel like you are eating great food with family. Char and Jack truly understand how to make guests feel comfortable and we felt like this was a home away from home. We will definitely be returning..

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights in July. We have not been to very many bed and breakfasts but this one far exceeded our expectations. Char and Jack are a perfectly lovely and friendly couple in addition to being fantastic hosts. The breakfast was amazing every morning, and different every morning. The house is gorgeous and has a very interesting history. It is located at just the right spot near the end of the main street in Buckhannon. We enjoyed taking a little bit of time each day just to sit in one of the areas of the house and relax with a cup of coffee or reading a book. Our hosts we're able to share a lot of information with us about the town and also about the different restaurants and attractions nearby. We had a wonderful visit and will definitely come back in the future.

My husband and I had business in Buckhannon and chose to stay here. We were so impressed with the accommodations and the owners who put their hearts into taking care of the inn and their guests. It was very clean and beautiful and best of all, the breakfast was outstanding! Many praises!
