Very stylish place and very friendly staff. As the name implies, glass artistry is the theme. There is a directory in the elevator indicating the artist featured on each floor, and at each floor in the elevator lobby is info about the artist and some of their work, very nicely presented. Only ate breakfast in the restaurant, but was very impressed with the offerings. I had the "breakfast board" which was a long, handled breadboard, with hardboiled egg, slices of baguette with pesto, 2 strips of bacon, 2 small muffins, a generous amount of salmon, and large caperberries.

The hotel has a lot of glass art and is very unique. Room was clean and pleasant. Fitness center is open 24 hours. Each floor features art by a specific artist. If you are looking for a unique place to stay, this is the place!

Room Tip: Each floor has its own featured artist. Check out different floors if you have time.

really enjoyed the decor - based on glass art. very comfortable beds - slept really well.
Staff very friendly and helpful; centrally positioned for downtown Tacoma.
Several great lounge areas to spend time with family and friends.

We checked in Friday evening and our first desk clerk was polite and cheerful. We had difficulties with getting our key to work in the elevator, so had to go back to the front desk. Our next desk clerk was not cheerful. Once getting to our room we found it unacceptable. The windows had the seals blown in them, so we could not enjoy the views from our room located on the 24th floor. Came back to the desk and asked to change rooms to one that did not need the View windows replaced. The desk clerk was very rude and acted as though I didn’t know what I was talking about. He excused himself to speak with his manager and when he came back said that they would go check on another room for me. If the other room was in the same condition he could then offer us a 30% discount. I told him that I either wanted a room with a clear view or I would rather check out. He then said that I had a non-refundable room. I told him that I had no problem paying full price for an acceptable room, but was not willing to pay anything for a View room that you could not look out the windows. We ended up checking out with a full refund. We asked a couple other employees and found out that all the rooms have windows that need to be replaced. We were very disappointed . We choose this hotel to be in downtown Tacoma to celebrate my birthday. Fortunately we were able to find another hotel with a beautiful water view, breakfast, free parking and shuttle for even less money. It is sad when hotels are more than willing to accept your money, but aren’t doing maintenance on their property.

Room Tip: Ask ahead if you can see out the windows or are they needing to be replaced.

Love the glass theme in this hotel...Named Murano after the famous glass blowing island by Venice. Each floor is dedicated to a cutting edge glass artist. Examples of the artist work is included as well as photographs of the artist at work. Take your time and check out each floor!!!! as good as going to a museum.

The service we received was excellent...from the doormen rushing to open the doors for us to the ever friendly front desk....we were always greeted with a smile and a helpful attitude.

Our room was on the smaller side but very clean. Bed was comfortable and we slept well. Wifi free and easily hooked up...unlimited devices accepted. Nice lemon smelling soaps. Included was a refrig, a safe, hairdryer, flat screen TV, clock, coffee maker....nicely appointed room.

Our room had a lovely view out toward the Tacoma Dome and onward to Mt. Rainier.
Hotel conveniently located close to the Convention Center and many restaurants within walking distance. Just down the hill is the Children's Museum, The Museum of Glass, the Washington State History Museum and TAM (Tacoma Art Museum) There is also a street car to take you to the Tacoma Dome and any event taking place there.

Parking was $16 dollars a night for self park and $20.00 for valet. Just need to give your license plate number to the registration desk.

Nice stay.
