“Super friendly waitress, kept my coffee coming”

Good breakfast. The waitress did an amazing job of juggling both tourists and the older local fisherman that liked to tease with her. Although folk were talking with her non-stop, she was efficient, friendly and kept bringing me coffee.

I noticed one person said only place in town which is not true- but close. We were hungry and decided after the 3rd drive-by to chance it. I mean look --- it had a fish in pants outside of it.

We sat outside and looked at the bay, watching seagulls feeding and Bald Eagles soaring around. The waitress seemed to be wearing all the hats at 2 pm, cashier, waitress and cook. Later found out she was a local who had gotten a scholarship to a prestigious college and was a delight to talk to coming from a very little town and coping with big school and lots of academic competition.

The place is funky and the tables plain Jane. I ordered the scallops and fries figuring you couldn't screw that up to much and was right. My wife had a homemade chicken fried steak sandwich that I wish I could have taken a picture of. She loved it.

It one of my memories of that trip, good food, good waitress, and good views. Sheriff came by for some lunch and we chit chatted with him. Just a great time that was unexpected.

Oh and the Chocolate Malt was to die for!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Saturday night on Memorial weekend is probably not the best time to come - the lone waitress was having hard time helping everyone. Menu was confusing, ended up with fish and chips (too greasy) and burger (that was OK).

Liked the Breakwater Inn restaurant better ...

Food is generally good. Service varies by time of day, crowd, and who is working. For a small town that really relies on sport fishermen, this is a great café. right across from the docks and in the center of town, it is hard to miss.
Try their French Dip or go for the Bruin pizza.

The owner is very friendly, and her food is consistently very good. They make adjustments very easy, and go out of there way to please the customer.
