Aside from its convenience to the airport and rental car center, this is a destination in itself. The hotel is an oasis and provided us with a real vacation experience, as our vacation had been ruined by medical issues and was spent in the hospital! So this one day at Cedarbrook was my "vacation"! The place is lovely, surrounded by beautiful gardens, the rooms are large and clean, and in our case "accessible" which was very helpful. They have a pillow menu! You can order extra pillows in different softnesses to add to the many pillows already provided. The food at the restaurant is excellent. The highlight was the duck and waffles which was on the lunch menu at the bar restaurant. Dinner was also very lovely. They have ice cream and yogurt available all the time for FREE in the lounge and it was Hagen Daz, not some off brand! The service was excellent. One staff person, Chris, made our vacation extra special by coming in early to take us to the airport, and helping us out in many ways. We didn't use it, but heard that the spa was also excellent from people who were there just to use it. The atmosphere is relaxed and the decor is lodge like but in a very modern way. I really can't say enough about how much we loved this place. It costs maybe 30-40 more than the chain airport hotels, and that is money very well spent. Spend more than a day if you can! We missed the complimentary breakfast because of our early flight, but took a look and it was fantastic!

Room Tip: We had a view of the gardens which was lovely.

You will need to be a certain age to get that reference.

That said this place is an amazing oasis in an industrial concrete jungle. There are so many positives to say I wouldn't want to list.

Rooms are nice, we had a Premium King and it was acceptable. Newer, clean and well stocked. There is a family room like area in each section with free water and snacks. TIP - ask for 2nd floor room.

Copper leaf restaurant is on the grounds. Do NOT expect a dinner that is filling and affordable. Expect a dining experience that is a wonderful experience and meant to be a 2 hour event. Service was exceptional - food was presented in a 5 star method.

Staff is attentive and there is free shuttle to SeaTac every 30 mins 24/7.

Enjoy

Spending the final night of my vacation at Cedarbrook was the ideal choice. I could check in and unload, gas up, return my car to the airport rental, and get a ride back to the hotel to ensure a hassel-free morning.

Driving in immediately immerses one in beautiful, tranquil gardens. The main building is lovely both inside and out. The desk staff went out of their way to be helpful and informative. My room in Spruce had a lovely view of a courtyard garden. Amenities in the group 'living room' included snacks and drinks, and the room coffee was excellent. The delicious 'continental' breakfast was much more nourishing than expected, with bacon and fresh scrambled eggs. The ride to the airport was short, smooth, and on time.

That said, be sure to ask at check-in if you'd prefer a sheet and light blanket to a duvet (too warm for my taste).

If possible, enjoy dinner at the Copperleaf--reviewed separately. And ask David at the front desk for a fascinating account of the history of Cedarbrook!

This was our second stay in this hotel. The grounds are beautiful and rooms very comfortable and convenient. The bar area overlooking the grounds had been remodeled. However, from our recollection we liked the previous arrangement more. They have a huge selection of wines by the glass, the half bottle and the full bottle. They pride in this. Wine prices are very high, However, I feel they are very stingy since they don not serve even peanuts with the wine. Our stay was a one night associated with a pre cruise . Prices had increased since our last visit..

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and experiences from your recent visit. We are honored that we had the opportunity to welcome you back for your second stay and so pleased to hear that you enjoyed your time. We also hope that you had a great time on your cruise. We appreciate your suggestion regarding the snacks at the Bar. While we do have a great variety of new food options in the menu, we would be happy to come up with some little snacks for you on your next visit. We look forward to the opportunity to welcome you back again.

Sincerely,

Cedarbrook Lodge is a beautiful hotel/meeting place conveniently located close to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Even though it is close to the airport you do not really hear the sound of planes since the hotel is located on a hilltop and nestled into a residential neighborhood.

I have stayed at Cedarbrook twice for corporate planning sessions but it would be a great place for individuals who value a quiet location with first class accommodations for their vacation stay.

The hotel room is well furnished and makes you feel welcome and comfortable as soon as you enter the main entrance. On a side note, it is one of the few hotels that I have stayed at that had pillow choices that matched the degree of firmness that I like. Bathrooms were spacious and well furnished.

Even though it is secluded, you are 5 minutes (via the hotel shuttle) from the Sound Transit Light Rail system which will take you into downtown Seattle.

The only caution that I would provide is that the hotel rooms are in units that are connected to the main lobby/restaurant and meetings rooms via walkways. The walkways are not enclosed. Fabulous for when the weather is nice but be prepared if the weather is inclement.

Overall, Cedarbrook is a first class hotel and well worth considering.

Room Tip: If you are staying in the Spruce units, ask for a second floor room since first floor rooms are eye level with the parking spaces.
