Stayed at the Sand Dollar Inn, Room #1 (Studio), family stayed in Room #2 (two queen beds in one room with seperate kitchen. This hotel is VERY spartan, basic, yet comfortable, and clean. REMOTE location!! Old fridge made a strange noise occasionally. The room my family stayed in was great, spacious, and had a seperate kitchen area that had enough room for 5 to sit around the table and talk comfortably. Again, no frills, only bar soap, no shampoo/conditioner. No telephone in the room and the cell phone reception is pretty spotty, however, I was able to reach who I needed AND even upload some photos. As far as the hotel, it has simple, clean accommodations and friendly staff. Will try and stay in the penthouse upon return as it has ocean views. No ocean view from either #1 or #2, however the beach is a <5 minutes walk and the beach is gorgeous, clean and very sparsely populated. My partner is disabled and he was able to walk it. First there is about a block of gravely road and then a sandy winding path through greenery to the beach. Would definitely stay here again when in the area. Price was terrific. Make sure and bring coolers with food/drinks, as the few grocery places are marked up considerably and there is NO fast food. This is a great place if you want to get away from it all and aren't worried about frills. Make sure to go south about a mile or so to Seabrook and take the staircase down to the beach there. Spectacular wide beach and stunning sea cliffs. Would glady go back!

Room Tip: Only penthouse has ocean views.

Hi Psychedelaluna, did you know we have some fairly nice views of the ocean from our second floor rooms? We also have complimentary assorted toiletries etc. available on request so the next time you come to stay with us just ask us. Thank you so much for the positive review!

My friend has stayed here in the past. She used to stay in Ocean Shores until she discovered the Sand Dollar. When we pulled up they rembered my friend and her dog. We had room number 4 which is on the second floor and has two bedrooms. The room was immaculately clean. They even provide dog towels. We had a nice view of the beach, which is just a minutes walk away without having to go through a lot of sea grass to get to the beach.
The Sand Dollar is very reasonably priced. I would happily stay here again.

My family and 2 of my kids friends stayed at the "beach house" so there was a total of 6. The beach house is a cute little bungalow with 2 bedrooms and large living area with 2 futons and a gas fireplace. It has a nicely stocked full kitchen and a great deck with a gas grill. The house was plenty big enough for 2 adults and 4 teens. We also were able to bring our 2 dogs outside there is a little fenced kennel for the dogs and inside there is a large mud room that we were able to put 2 large kennels also outside is a fire pit. We had just a couple problems the plumbing was not working properly the kitchen sink was slow to drain and the one and only bathroom kept plugging up we would have to plunge everytime even with just going # 1, which lead to our next problem the office closes around 5 and there is no on site managers. I called to find out if they had a better plunger because the one we had was worthless the phone was answered but was told no one was on site and I was told to go ask another guest in the hotel to borrow theirs which was a little embarrassing but had to do it. We did get a better one which worked but was still a pain in the butt. We arrived on a Friday evening and left Sunday. The day we left someone did show up to work on the problem so hopefully it was fixed. Even though we had that problem we still had a great time clamming and hanging out at the beach. The town really has nothing there is a small grocery and a bakery which was really good. Ocean shores is about a 30 minute drive away so we spent sometime there. Pacific beach is nice and quiet not nearly the amount of people as in ocean shores. We will definitely go back and stay in one of the cottages especially if plumbing is fixed or just bring a good plunger or snake lol. Also I think it would be nice if there was someone on site at least later in the evening. We really did have a great time and maybe that is why the plumbing didn't totally ruin the weekend. And why I gave it a 4 instead of a lower score but would of been a 5

Hi Tracy, the Beach House has had some extensive maintenance and is in top shape so come on back and stay with us! You may also like to know we have the Pelican
Cottage available which has spectacular views of the beach from every room and 2 bathrooms. There is also the Razor Clam Cottage which has 3 bedrooms. You can see all 3 cottages on our website. Thank you so much for your review.

We made a last minute decision to stay at this Inn to take advantage of the clam season. The host vas very accommodating, allowing us to check in early. We stayed in a spacious corner room, number three. The beds are clean and firm, and the fully appointed kitchen has every basic kitchen equipment. And even though the unit was a bit tired, it was cheery and just the perfect place for a old fashioned beach visit. The stove was hot! And the refrigerator ran during the entire time we stayed there. We will definitely stay again. We do not have a dog, but they do accept dogs for an additional fee. I really love Pacific Beach and there is easy access to the beach but it is about a mile to the beach itself. Bring slippers and an extra sweater because the floor tile and cinder block construction dissipates the cozy heaters installed in each room.

This was our third trip and stay. In the past have rented the Penthouse (view had changed last time due to a tall house built in the view, but was still amazing). This visit we had a regular room with a kitchen and separate bedroom. The host was wonderful and helpful as always. Although a bit older the room was clean and comfortable (though for me the bed too soft). It was heading into the off season but the local store had all we needed. The miles of simple walking beaches allowed for relaxation (and to us the frequent fog was beautiful).

Room Tip: The "penthouse" is well worth renting for sunny beach views and great for families.
