Went to do the scavenger hunt it was ok. When we looked on the website and saw they did a scavenger hunt and it also said that military families got in for free. So we went and when I showed my military id I figured it would also help get my son and husband in, but apparently each member of the family has to have a military id to show. They need to be more specific on their website about that because most military families with younger kids may not have a military id. They allowed my husband in since he was with me but was told that wouldn't happen for next time. For younger kids who can't read quite yet they had pictures of the nutcrackers to find, but what stink about that is the pictures were in black and white, if they are going to do that for younger kids at least put the pictures in color so that the child will be more interested in finding the nutcracker and not get so bored.

This was our first visit to The Nutcracker Museum. I don't climb stairs, and didn't know they had an elevator available! We were overwhelmed with this vast number of Nutcrackers on display in the museum. The founder of the museum was delightful, and full of wonderful stories. She's developed a treasure hunt for younger visitors to find a specific nutcrackers scattered throughout the museum. There are antique nutcrackers, mechanical nutcrackers, and even newer nutcrackers. There are signed nutcrackers that have been donated to the museum for sale, and who could visit without purchasing one? I'd recommend this Museum to any family visiting Leavenworth.

Way over crowded, very hot and very uncomfortable. Some of the stuff was interesting and might have been enjoyable to look at and learn about but after about 15 minutes inside the place was so crowded you couldn't comfortably move around or see things easily. We were all so hot and uncomfortable we had to leave. Definitely wasn't worth paying for
