Owner description: Displaying over 7000 nutcrackers, the Nutcracker Museum is a unique experience for visitors. People have come from all over the world specifically to view this unique collection. You’ll find nutcrackers from Roman times to modern day and nutting stones from the Archaic period. Students will enjoy a “nutcracker hunt”, our version of a scavenger hunt!

This was our first visit to The Nutcracker Museum. I don't climb stairs, and didn't know they had an elevator available! We were overwhelmed with this vast number of Nutcrackers on display in the museum. The founder of the museum was delightful, and full of wonderful stories. She's developed a treasure hunt for younger visitors to find a specific nutcrackers scattered throughout the museum. There are antique nutcrackers, mechanical nutcrackers, and even newer nutcrackers. There are signed nutcrackers that have been donated to the museum for sale, and who could visit without purchasing one? I'd recommend this Museum to any family visiting Leavenworth.

Way over crowded, very hot and very uncomfortable. Some of the stuff was interesting and might have been enjoyable to look at and learn about but after about 15 minutes inside the place was so crowded you couldn't comfortably move around or see things easily. We were all so hot and uncomfortable we had to leave. Definitely wasn't worth paying for

I collect nutcrackers, so this place was a dream come true! You will be surprised by how many they have. Overwhelming, in a good way!

This place was cute to go to once, but one time is probably enough. It has a ton of different nutcrackers and some large ones you can take a picture with. There's also a "treasure hunt" you or the kids can do and I saw several families going around with sheets looking for specific nutcrackers. It's a $5 entry fee and they have a video you can watch at the beginning (we didn't). They also have plenty of nutcrackers for sale. I probably would have given this place 5 stars if it wasn't for the fact trying to actually buy anything during a busy period is impossible. We wanted to buy something but they just kept taking more admissions and ignoring us standing right there for the last 10 minutes. It's also a good place to get away from the crowd outside, though I'm sure it has its moments, people are pretty spread out that are here so it's relatively quiet and calm compared to the stores and other shops on Front St. Its pretty interesting to walk around and see the variety though, I'd recommend going at least once while in town!

Where do I start? This little museum is leaves a big impression. Every nutcracker you could ever imagine as far back in history as you can possibly go! No 2 are alike. Lots of interesting facts, too, with a video on the history of nutcrackers and interesting facts posted by the display cases. If you love nutcrackers, don't miss this. Make sure you have at least 1 1/2 hours to do it justice.
