Description: At Trellis, the menu is crafted around what's fresh for the season. Food to make your taste buds happy for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Whether sharing plates with friends, or enjoying a casual dinner for two, the atmosphere is lively and the service welcoming. A popular neighborhood destination for locals, as well as guests of The Heathman, Trellis is also a prime hot spot for Kirkland Happy Hour. Try a craft cocktail featuring house-made infusions on the patio that's open year round, or a glass of Washington wine at the bar. (Pairing that glass with food works too!) Speaking of food, the menu is inventive and flavorful, and not at all stuffy. Trellis works with local purveyors that specialize in all the amazing ingredients that are available in the Northwest. And with food, there should always be great beverages. Trellis partners with local wineries, breweries and distilleries for an authentic regional experience with tastes that you can't find just anywhere.

Went here for breakfast and took note that there were very few people eating here.

There 10 of us celebrating a family reunion. Several people ordered eggs Benedict. All came out with rock hard eggs and little sauce. We noted thus to the server. He came back with additional eggs (no additional sauce) and those eggs were also hard. We asked for ketchup to put on the potatoes and were given very small (enough for a tablespoon). We had to ask 3 times to get enough ketchup for 10 people. Finally asked for the manager. We explained that half of us had been unable to eat our meals.

After spending 1.5 hours we left. Our meal was comped however the experience soured any of us wanting to return.

This restaurant is in a very expensive hotel in downtown Kirkland. It very unfortunate that the dinning experience was so distasteful.

The food is OK, but the service is so slow and poor that it is frustrating to eat there. 40 minutes for breakfast is crazy and combined with the poor service, I can't recommend this restaurant.

We visited Trellis for breakfast and happy hour. We were most impressed with the quality and variety of food. Friendly staff and great people watching highlighted our experience.

We have been coming to Trellis for fresh farm to table cuisine since it opened. First time we were disappointed. The beets in the beet salad were fibrous and lacking flavor. The spring onions and peas shoots were also not tender.

The sea scallops were tender but with only four small scallops on the plate felt less than a main dish.

Prices felt more than I remembered making the meal feel not worth the price by a long shot.

All this said the chicken was tasty (even if the spring onions served with it were not). Still not worth the $31 price.

Read that perhaps there was a change in management and/or chef? Hopefully not so and just an off night or we're not likely to back soon.

Went here for my hubby's birthday and had an absolutely lovely evening. We both had the prix fixe meal with different choices and enjoyed everything. Very worth the time and money.
