If you aren't looking for a healthy meal, this is a good place to go. My group ordered a bunch of different things off the menu and none of us were disappointed. The root beer was delicious and cold. They do have a lot of extra charges like if you want to split a plate or don't want ice in your drink, but if you can ignore that it is not a bad stop.

This is a real "diner" type restaurant with an OK hamburger, good fries, and GREAT root beer. That is a good enough combination to keep me coming back when I am in the area.

The weekends are great especially when I get to go see some classic cars with a classic meal. Is my Oil Change Ready??? How about the Root Beer??? You got to try it, best Root Beer I've ever had and the frosty mug takes it to a whole another level. Hamburgers are huge and fries delicious. Great service and the Owner Jose is a super nice guy and his whole family is involved to help run the show. I'm glad they kept this place alive to have a place that I can bring my family and go back in time. Weekly Car shows in Issaquah with a great meal, just like it was in the 50's.

So hubby and I stopped on the way home to finally check it out.
I did take a look at their website before going and was anxious to see the inside of the restaurant...... it's exactly as shown on the website. Car/50s memorabilia everywhere...... seriously everywhere. You could spend hours in the place just looking at all the stuff.
Website/ menu both state their root beer is a recipe that's been around since the 30s..... so we ordered 2 frosty mugs. Not bad at all. I'm not completely sure it's worth 4 bucks for a regular mug though.
I'll admit that I had sticker shock when looking at the menu, almost 7 bucks for a cheeseburger. Fries/ rings or for that matter any side is extra. ( now I will admit I've had cheeseburgers before that I would gladly pay 7 bucks for.... hoping this might be one of them)
Hubby and I both had cheeseburgers, he ordered fries and I ordered rings.
Side note: I'm a firm believer in meat patty to bun ratio.... the first key to a good burger is being able to distinguish it's actually a burger because you don't see all bun when it's set down in front of you.
I knew I was in trouble when my burger was set down on the table......all bun☹️
I lifted the bun and there was my skinny preformed patty that probably came out of the freezer to be fried, with the smallest slice of cheese and a salad on it.
There was a sliver of hope left when I took a bite...... not bad. Not good, not great, not worthy of costing 7 bucks.
The onion rings were crunchy..... not homemade though.
Because this place is all about the 50s/cars and stuff from a earlier generation I guess I had hoped it would have been more of home cooked food from that time.
Another bit of info: they only take cash or a WA check. There is an ATM available.

At first glance this really looks like an old joint where the food can go either way. When you walk in through the doors other than in front of the counter, you get thrown off immediately. We couldn't tell which way to go and we literally had to duck underneath the decor to find our way around. We finally heard a voice asking if we needed help. We finally made our way to the counter and ordered.

The staff
The working crew was made up of teenage kids, not to take away from them as they were polite and got the job done right. Not something you see in this type environment very often.

The food
We realized after ordering that they only accept cash or check so be prepared for that. The food was ready fairly quickly and hot, in other words made to order. The food was good, I had the low rider burger and was not disappointed. The portions were plenty full and very filling. The drinks are served in the large beer mugs and you get more than enough. The prices were fair and this was definitely a place that the locals favor.
