Stopped a few places before ending up at the Portside. Did not expect it to be such a great experience based on the places we ate at before. Totally unexpected.
The furniture and plates are mismatched, and it does not have a fine dining appeal, but the staff is amazing and the food is even better.
The owners were working BOTH days we went (of course we went back again) and they were very friendly and engaging. Their food is plentiful and hearty.
We had the Chicken fried steak and the Platter Cakes. Both were fantastic, but the Chicken fried steak over all was absolutely amazing and are worth going back for, over and over.
