We were steered here by the WA State reservation system. We were escaping severe smoke at Crater lake and wanted to stay at Maryhill SP on the Columbia River. The reservation person said that they had smoke there as well and sent us here to Brooks. This place smacks of the 1950's, run down and totally uninteresting. A huge power distribution line goes directly overhead to add to the disappointment. Our assigned site was horrible for a TT so we looped around and asked the CG host what else we could take. We found the best available at least with a few trees but the paved pad was very sloped and the water and sewer connections far to the back of the site. After using everything we had to level the back of our trailer was nearly touching the ground while the tongue was elevated nearly hip high. Even then our septic hose was stretched to the max to make the connection. Others have highlighted the considerable traffic noise on the very busy Hwy. 97.
This was a very expensive one night stopover with little reward.More
