“Great place to return to”

Our group of 14 was able to enjoy this historic place, even tho there was another large group and all rooms filled. Julee and Tim were very welcoming, informative, and efficiently helpful. The rooms and kitchen were very clean, supplied with everything and more. We will be back to see it in the snow!

Stayed at the Flying L last week with a friend the day before we climbed Mt Adams. The place reminded me of summer camp as a kid. Its very quaint, with a group dining room, several cabins, and a lodge which sleeps many guests in seperate rooms. The cabin we stayed in was spotless clean, had everything one would need, along with amazing views of Mt Adams. Breakfast in the morning was a gourmet style french toast....outstanding!! The night before, the owner even came to our room with a couple of beers and a climbing map and gave us pointers on our climb, which turned out to be successful. Stay here if you want down home lodging without the 5 star prices....

Room Tip: The cabins are very nice, but not plush

A visit to The Mt Adams Lodge near the township of Glenwood Washington gives one an opportunity to experience vast reaches of untamed wilderness while enjoying the comfort of a well maintained and fully arranged cabin with all the conveniences of home. Each morning there is a nice breakfast served to lodge guests. Nestled in the shadows of Mt Adams, but easily accessable, this semi-remote Lodge is easy to locate and is one of our areas best kept secrets. A short walk or drive from the main lodge and you are in the middle of the same wilderness that harbors legends of Bigfoot and still keeps the secrets of the D B Cooper alive and well. Cooper bailed out of an Airliner over this same area decades ago with 250 thousand in cash.....and was never seen again.......The area abounds with wild rivers, plush green forests, scenic landscapes, high mouintain vistas, unbelievable meadows of wildflowers and is saturated with backwoods trails and an abundance of wildlife. The Owners of The Lodge, both Tim and Julee, are expert historians and vastly knowledgeble of the area and can assist with "getting you" out into the beauty of this remote and wonderful terrain rarely visited by the uninformed. If you are looking for a special "get-away" with just a touch of first class adventure .....then a visit to The Mount Adams Lodge is a must see and must do experence.

I have stayed at the Mt Adams Lodge with the Reach the Summit program climbing Mt Adams. It served as a perfect base for the group prior to our departure. Comfortable, pleasant, and all with the spectacular backdrop of Mt Adams in the background. The proprietors are warm and attentive, and accommodated the unique and specific needs of our group. Although our stay was in the summertime, my visits there in other seasons each yield a magic and beauty that makes you feel you have really arrived someplace special.

I have had the pleasure if staying here multiple times and found the owners to be exceptionally friendly.

I have found the rustic charming cabins and lodge soothing to the soul. A far cry from the busy life and schedules of the nearby Portland sprawl.

I have enjoyed hiking, cross country skiing and the lodge's white salmon white water raft trip during my stays.

If you enjoy the outdoors and a good deal, check this place out.
