This was our first timing using our Wyndham points. We were very happy with the size and cleanliness of the room. Staff was excellent and very responsive. The beds were very comfortable.

Small things we would have changed. BBQ is too big for size of deck, tub is small, and there should be an option for an adult only pool. I love kids but I'm there to get away from them. Lol

Overall we had a relaxing get away and will definitely go back again.

We had 5 days of amazing vacation here. The resort is just across from the beach - and it is a long, long stretch of beach too. The resort staff is very helpful and friendly - check-in and check-out were supereasy. We had a 2-bedroom unit which is fully equipped and even though it doesn't have AC, it was cool and breezy at this time of the year. We love being able to go for walk in the cool invigorating morning with the seabreeze blowing. There are several restaurants - The Beach House, Beach and The Shores - which serve good food. We thought the fish and chips at the Beach House was just fantastic. Semiahmoo, Bellingham and Vancouver BC are must-do day trips when you are here.

Very good resort, very professional and courteous employees which made the stay great from the start. We had a very good view from the room. The room had everything we would ever need. The restaurant near by had a wide variety of items, priced right and withing walking distance.

We were in the back of the building furthest back (still had a partial ocean view). The building was set up like a hotel, with access from a centralized lobby, elevators (2) together, and long hallways to the rooms. Narrow doorways to get from the elevator into the hallway to the room, which made no sense, and seemed to serve no purpose (except to beat up the luggage cart and door frames). The room looked gorgeous, with an apartment sized kitchen, dining area, living room, laundry closet, and 2 bedrooms with 2 baths. There was even a tiny balcony, with a small propane BBQ (which we didn't use). The master bedroom had a private bath, while the 2nd bedroom had a bathroom across the hall. We were staying with another couple, and wished the 2nd bathroom would have been connected to the 2nd bedroom, with an option to have it be a private bath (for example, 2 lockable doors, so that bathroom could be accessed only from the common area, or only from the bedroom, or from both). It was inconvenient for the couple in the 2nd bedroom to need robes for crossing the hall to their restroom, and for the couple in the main bedroom to avoid opening their door when they might see the others dashing in or out of their bathroom.

Probably my biggest frustration was with the lowest toilets I've ever seen, and small round bowls as well. For anyone older, or with bad knees, or who has difficulty with deep squats, check if they have any ADA compliant rooms. If you're a bigger person, you'll really notice the lack of space, without a commercial toilet, or even an elongated bowl. Few homes have tiny round bowl toilets, and I don't think I've ever seen those before in a hotel setting. It seemed an odd place for Worldmark to have saved a very few dollars, while sacrificing guest comfort.

The room we had included a fan in the closet, and it was needed. The location had Worldmark skip the expense of A/C in the rooms, and at the beginning of June that was already a mistake. There are ceiling fans in the living room and each bedroom, but that still left us needing to cool the room with open windows overnight, and then overheat a bit in the afternoons with closed windows, before opening the windows would help again. We set the thermostat to 58 degrees when we got there, and that wasn't enough to keep the room comfortable in the afternoons.

The shower heads were long overdue for replacement. They were meant to have about 40 narrow streams of water, but were down to about 25 which functioned, and without enough water pressure to deliver any sort of force. Maybe I'm spoiled with a good low-flow shower head at home, but this room made me wish I'd packed a spare shower head and a couple small wrenches to upgrade the shower while we were there.

The beds were also overdue for replacement. They weren't awful, but were past where I think most homeowners would have paid for replacements. When renting what overall seemed like a high quality room, it was surprising to see saggy beds.

While the room had a stacked washer/dryer, and towels could be exchanged down at the front desk, I really wish the bathrooms were stocked with more than 2 towels, 2 hand towels, and 2 washcloths, for a 3 night stay. It forced us to run laundry every day, or go to the front desk for fresh towels every day. There was plenty of space for more towels, and it would have improved our experience to avoid the daily towel problem.

Overall, I'd still recommend the Worldmark Birch Bay, but with the cautions above for anyone who needs better on any of those. The couple we were with live in apartments, and commented the room was bigger and nicer than many apartments they've lived in. It definitely had enough space for 4 people (plus a Murphy bed in the living room, if anyone needed to cram in 6 people). I'd be willing to stay here again, but would be asking for an ADA compliant room, one with newer beds, and with A/C if at all possible.

Room Tip: Ocean views - front of 1st building. It blocks ocean views from 2nd building. 3rd building has partial ocean views. Elevators in the middle.

This condo property is situated in a lovely spot on the ocean. To move from an average rating to very good, I suggest a few changes. The TV in the 2nd bedroom is way too small. My grandson could not see it from the bed. TV's are very inexpensive, quite cheap to get a reasonable sized one for each room. They charge for internet connection at $5 a day or more depending on the nunber of devices. Charging for internet in 2017 is just a money grab. The balconies are quite small and the huge BBQ leaves very little room for sitting; maybe a more compact BBQ? Otherwise condos are nicely appointed, clean and spacious.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that faces the ocean.
