We really like this place.and are rarely disappointed. Some of the food is a bit Nouveau America , dishes I stay away from. Battleground is really challenged in the restaurant department so they are the big place in a small pond..They might not survive in Portland, but for this area it is a go to place that you can trust

Took my family here for lunch to try somewhere new on our way to doing some antiquing on Main St. Although they're a little on the pricey side the food and service was very good. We had the Portobello mushroom & the steamed clams appetizers and both were quite good and plentiful. For our lunches we had chicken Caesar salad, Shrimp jambalaya, grilled cod fish tacos, and the French dip. I didn't care for the Jambalaya as the sausage casing was too chewy and wouldn't recommend it. The rest of the meals were liked by all. The service was very good and friendly.

Went here for their Oktoberfest. Limited to inside the pub, but a lot of fun. Food included the usual pub grub, but good portions and tasty. Special for the day was roast pig, also wursts - all very good. In an area famous for microbreweries, this is a standout. The Oktoberfest specials, particularly the several pils and the dunkelwiezen were outstanding.
difficult to find without a map or GPS, but absolutely worth the effort and travel time.

Couldn't get into another restaurant but they suggested we try Northwood. Great suggestion. We were able to be seated almost immediately and had a server with a great sense of humour. Explained that I have an allergy to garlic which featured in many dishes. Slight amendments were made to accommodate my needs.
Best New York strip I have had in the last couple of weeks.

Service was very good, food is good and the beer selection is very good. Went on a Saturday night and they had very bad live music. Whole restaurant cleared out once the music started had we not already ordered we would have done the same. Have been there on other occasions and the food has been good and the service varies depending o how well staffed they are. Barrel Mountain Brewing is much better would go their instead in the future.
