Could not have stayed at a better place. It was like being at home with everything you need. It was close to our children and grandchildren, shopping and golf. Williamsburg is a wonderful city and lots to do. We plan on coming back in February 2016.

...then we want off the boat.

As Wyndham owners we have most appreciated the fact that we always knew what to count on once we checked into our accommodations. Well that is no more!

We found that our "condo" was a space the size of a hotel room with a teeny-tiny excuse for a "stove" and a teeny-tiny adjoining sink with a fridge underneath constituting the "kitchen." No dishwasher, no prep space... and this is supposed to be our home away from home? Ummm... not so much.

What astonished us was the absurd design of the building. There is a huge empty space serving as the entryway and another as the landing upstairs, neither of which serves any useful purpose for anyone or anything. So you walk through all that empty space just outside your unit--and drag all your stuff through it, with no elevator--only to find that inside your unit you do not even have enough space to put a suitcase down. Whose idea was this, anyway?

Room tip: Don't book a "B" unit unless you are a Lilliputian. (And if you are a Lilliputian, count on using a ladder!) Also, do not take an upstairs unit if you don't like dragging all your luggage and other stuff up and down the stairway.

Room tip: Pick "A" side and ground level to avoid problems of zero space and no elevators.

Room was nice. Clogged sink...fixed immediately. Broken kitchen drawer. But comfy bed and pull out. All staff are very friendly. Service makes up for the issues I had. Presentation was bogus as usual.

We had visited here once before a few years ago and were blown away with the place. However, this time we weren't so pleased. There was a group near us that was incredibly rude and a staff that was also when we complained about it. There were children running up and down stairs, slamming doors, jumping in the room above us, neighbors singing next door and having a party at midnight. We called the front desk and were essentially told that we could suck it up (something to the effect of "we can't control our customers but we will try to call them"). We called a total of 6 times as our 5 year old was continually woken up by incredibly rude neighbors. The first 4 we got attitude from the front desk, the last two (at an apparent shift change) we got a very nice young lady that first said she would call them and the second time she actually sent people over to the rooms to ask the neighbors to calm down. After our first 3 calls we went ahead and cancelled the rest of our plans for the summer which included two more stays. The walls were paper thin and we could hear everything of our neighbors. The smell from the other room's cooking was enough to make you nauseous. The room was very small with not even enough room to drain the dishes after you washed them. Finally the cleanliness was not something you'd expect from a place that looks so nice on the outside. We won't be back I'm sure.

Hello andboom,

We are so sorry about the inconvenience from the neighboring units. We know it is important to feel completely relaxed when on vacation. During the Holiday Season you would expect people to be more courteous to one another, but sometimes that is just not the case. I can only apologize for their rudeness and say that we are so disappointed to hear your interaction with the resort staff did not meet your expectations, as this is not part of the Count On Me service we take pride in at Wyndham. It is imperative that our guests are treated well. Please rest assured that we will be taking action to ensure that this is not an issue for future guests. Again, thanks for taking the time to reach out.

Kindest regards,

Ok it's clean except the carpet. The problem is I have never stayed at a place this small. Room doesn't feel like a resort. No indoor pool. Kitchen is way too small to cook. They sell u on cooking to save money on your vacation but won't provide the space to do it. I have never seen a stove that small in my life. The walls are paper thin. I could hear my neighbor's tv. I had a 1 bedroom. It's a nice size bedroom and bathroom. But living room and kitchenette are too small. No closet space. But enough drawer space. At the end of the day if it's clean I'm ok. But they better shampoo their carpet if I will ever stay here in the future.
