this place was awesome! We were in cabin #4 the best view by the way. It has a hot tub and a lovely contemporary layout. There are rocking chairs overlooking a lovely mt. view. a grill outside and kitchen and a fireplace. The shower leads outside and you can see out to the mountains from inside. We're going back in October. The breakfast was outstanding and the staff is so friendly and welcoming. The only thing i would say is they need to put better toiletries in the bathroom.

Room tip: cabin 4 is the best

We had a room in the inn. Our daughter had stayed here last year in a cabin. We both agreed the accommodations are very plush and romantic. It is a great place if you want to throw around a lot of money. Yet we found the breakfast minimal. You could ask for extra toast, etc., which was nice but the food was basic and nothing to write home about.

The Iris Inn is a beautiful Bed and Breakfast nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains. It is surrounded by the mountains and forestry. The rooms are beautiful and the view from the room was amazing! The hospitality exceeded anything we have ever seen. The owner and employees were so friendly and committed to being sure everything was perfect! The food was delicious, the rooms were wonderful, and our stay was perfect in every way!

I recently stayed at the Iris Inn as a get away for an anniversary. We decided to stay in one of the cabins as per the advertising on their web site - It looked fabulous! But after we arrived at the property we immediately realized that what we looked at on the website was not what we had booked... I'll explain - the website, including the video shows a cabin looking out over a vast and beautiful valley stretching out towards the mountains. There is only ONE cabin that has any real view at all. We asked to be moved and they offered another cabin but the view was no better than the one we were booked in. So we decided to make the best of it and then while sitting on the deck - we could clearly hear traffic from the highway. Semi trucks, rumble strips being hit by drivers drifting off the road, jake brakes from the big trucks trying to slow down on the hills. To say we were disappointed would be an understatement. The good - The cabin was very nice, the staff pleasant and the breakfast was good as well. I just think that they should be HONEST with their advertising. NO WAY WOULD I HAVE CONSIDERED THE IRIS INN if I knew the cabin we booked had no view. At $329 per night I think I have every right to expect what they advertised. Do yourself a favor - keep looking and pass this B&B up.

My 90 year old mother and I just returned from the Iris Inn with great memories. The staff bent over backwards (looking up requests, writing addresses, doling out special items, etc.) to make us feel welcome. We both could not have been any happier with the location and staff! Many thanks!

Thanks for taking a moment to share your memories of your Iris Inn stay. It is always a delight to see you return.

Your mother is a rock star! Such a nicely dressed, classy lady. She is my personal new role model, since I turned 60 this year.
