An elegant, country inn with nice furnishings, gracious hospitality, and friendly pets.
We’ve stayed many places around the world, including castles and palaces in Europe and India, and our small room at the Middleton Inn was the most expensive place we’ve ever stayed. The Sun Room has a comfortable bed, European-style water closets, a small luggage rack, a straight chair, and a narrow, open armoire--no armchair, couch, dresser, or bathtub. Good for a night’s sleep, but not for an extended stay. Breakfast was nice and was served on beautiful china.
The inn’s prices reflect the proximity to a renowned dining Inn—1/4 miles from “downtown” Washington, VA. No pool or beach, lake or river, but an elegant, old home with a large yard and horse barn.More
