“Our best experience yet with Virginia wines!”
Reviewed 31 October 2011

We went on a cold Saturday and were treated to a fun and enthusiastic tasting by the girl behind the counter. She was really cool and explained the traits of each wine in a way we understood. The wines and grounds were both lovely. Wish it were warmer so we could've sat outside with the sweet black vineyard dog and a bottle of wine.

“Beautifully crafted Virginia wines!”
Reviewed 10 September 2011

Gadino cellars is a relative newcomer to the Virginia wine scene. I think they have been around since 2005. My wife and I first visited in 2006 and marveled at how they had begun to produce first rate wines in such a short time. Now, at the ripe old age of six, Gadino is one of my favorites. My personal cellar usually has a case or two, so I have put my money where my mouth is .... literally. I have also joined their wine club.

My tastes gravitate toward drier wines with a fruity bouquet and some complexity. My favorite Gadinos are thus things like their Viognier on the white side and their Cabernet Franc, Nebbiolo, and Meritage-style blends on the red side.
