Enjoyed the $12 Sashimi Lunch Special -- beautiful slices of fresh fish, served elegantly. The lunch special also came with miso soup and an iceberg lettuce salad with special dressing. A nice treat!

One doesn't go to this kind of restaurant just for the food but also for the entertainment and this place does not disappoint. It has a happy atmosphere with the usual flamboyant chefs and many family groups. The food is good (with the exception of the "yum yum" sauce which is disgusting - tastes like sugary mayo). Definitely worth a visit when you're in the mood for an average Japanese steakhouse.

Sakura was close to our hotel and we like sushi so hubby and I gave it a try. We arrived early so it wasn't busy. We had a new waitress and an experienced waitress training her. We ordered yellowtail, tuna, flying fish roe with quail egg, tamago and California rolls. They were fresh, beautifully presented. Hubby is a sushi lover and has eaten sushi all over Japan so if he likes it, it's good. Their green tea ice cream is excellent. The hot sake was good, too. We didn't do the hibachi service at the back area of the restaurant, but some group was having a good time. The decor was more upscale than expected, considering the restaurant sits in a strip mall between the Silver Hill and Greensboro Metro stops (silver line). The waitresses are in kimono; ok a little cheesy but a nice touch. We would go back again.

Sashimi super fresh. Tea excellent quality. Nice decor of a wooden Japanese house and wait staff in kimonos, but also seems a bit outdated. Lobster roll was ok; more rice than lobster. Appetizer sample had really nice sauces.

This is a favorite for lunch hour. Great specials. Often not a long wait for lunch. Gets a good crowd for dinner.
