As usual this hotel was clean and inviting. Friendly staff was helpful upon checkin. Big room and indoor pool make a difference when we travel with three kids. Will return next year for our yearly pass through Roanoke on our way to Snowshoe.

Upon making a reservation, It was never disclosed that there would be a $52 pet fee. Furthermore, the staff, and specifically, the manager Chris slapped a $100 cleaning fee for our stay. There was no justification given and I would not recommend this hotel for pet owners….

The front desk was friendly and went above and beyond to welcome us. The room was clean and spacious and was perfect for the short night before catching a flight. Very convenient location for a quick trip to the airport.

I stayed here in early July, and everything was fine- good COVID precautions. However, I just went back on December 20, 2021 to find everything had changed regarding COVID precautions. No acrylic, plexiglass barrier at desks. Most disturbingly, staff (except for one breakfast staff) were wearing NO masks disregarding VDH guidelines. Guests were not wearing masks in lobby area. NO signage recommending masks nor any provided that I could see. The sanitizer station on 4th floor was completely out. Sanitizer wipes on first floor out. This area is in high transmission (even more now than when I went). My advice if you must stay here is make sure you are fully vaccinated/boosted and wear N95. I did talk to desk personnel with my feedback after my stay. They blamed "corporate", but their hotel is not following VDH guidelines. The room was fine. Breakfast was 1/2 hour late. Really sad to see the quality slide like this. 6 months ago, my rating would have been 5 starts

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience! Your health and safety are one of our main concerns and in doing so, we have mandated our staff to strictly enforce our mask policy. We are sorry to hear that this directive was not followed diligently on your last visit. We have already raised this to the management of the hotel for investigation and disciplinary action/s if needed to the staff not properly executing company protocols. We are working to take care of all of the issues that you addressed and we thank you for taking the time to share your experience.

No attention to detail. The poor quality of the toilet paper holder was in pieces. The sink was very badly cracked and the dirt in the cracks was black. Many pieces of dog food were on the too dark carpet.
