My wife and I stayed overnight at this B&B. We have stayed at many B&B's and this one is by far the most romantic, friendly and comfortable. This was our second stay. I usually wait to the second trip to write a review to see if they are consistant. They are! We had such a good time and the food was great. I enjoyed the keepers company more than my own families. We will be back to visit soon. Roanoke is a fun place to visit. The inn is very close to downtown.

Room Tip: all rooms are great.

We just returned home from a wonderful 3-night stay at the King George Inn. Innkeepers Jim and Lynn Hunt were marvelous hosts - friendly, accomodating, and interesting people. Their beautiful home, in the historic southwest section of Roanoke, struck just the right balance of period furnishings and modern day comforts - including an incredibly comfortable bed. The breakfasts were fabulous and tips on local restaurants and recreation were spot on. (Be sure to check out the neighborhood's Wildflour cafe and proximity to the beautiful Roanoke River trail.) We would heartily recommend the King George Inn to anyone whose travels take them to the greater Roanoke area!

Jim and Lynn great you at the King George Inn with a ready smile and generous friendship. If you enjoy the B&B experience, you'll find none better than the King George Inn. I've been traveling in the U.S., Europe and Asia for thirty years, and have found no better experience.

The house is amazing. Rich history, beautifully restored and furnished. The rooms comfortable and large. A group of us traveled to Roanoke to work with colleagues at Virginia Tech. We needed to get up early to head to work. Jim and Lynn were most flexible and gracious with our schedule. And the food...Well, you won't find a better breakfast at a B&B, I assure you.

My advice: It's worth a trip to Roanoke to stay here. The city has a lot to offer, and both Jim and Lynn are happy to guide you. They have created an exception travelers' experience.

What a nice surprise to arrive at the King George Inn after a last minute reservation.
Some of the most spacious rooms we have ever encountered at a B&B/Inn were
well furnished and had extremely comfortable beds and linens. New bathrooms provided all the basics with a sense of upscale style. Lovely hosts and other guests
accounted for an enjoyable and social breakfast. And the food was great, too!
