For $145 U.S., shocking!

To be fair the views over the pacific are beautiful. The pool is nice. The rooms absolutely deplorable (hair on sink, dirty side tables, carpet not vacuumed, badly patched shower ceiling, broken bathroom door, broken peephole with paper shoved in it) and the service apathetic. We travel internationally a lot, I mean a lot. We have stayed in all sorts of types of accommodations from shared rooms and hostels to 5 star boutique hotels. I've traveled usually to smaller towns in Mexico for many years. This time we had to come this way (close to tijuana) for visa issues. I can't imagine anyone paying the posted price for this. We did ask for cleaner/better repaired rooms. The second one on initial inspection had used (the worst kind of "used") toilet paper on the bathroom floor. The third one appeared clean enough to deal with for the night. I'm not sure if we got the 'grody' wing or what since google reviews seemed ok (or we wouldn't have booked). Also there is no AC, and internet wifi only in a few common areas.

Here for a friends destination wedding. The wedding was absolutely stunning, but the stay was a different story. The wait for the food in the bar was ridiculous, over an hour only to get an incorrect order. Staff was friendly, but not enough staff to serve a busy weekend. Took 3 calls to front desk on 3 different days to get lights fixed as I twisted my foot cause it was so dark. Fast pass was not available as they had originally said. Our other friends who requested an AC room, was told There wasn't one available once they checked in. Over all, the wedding was great, the villas good (great ocean view), the service was mediocre.

Positives: Staff was excellent, Food and bar was good, Pools and grounds awesome.
negatives: No A/C, With so many people walking on carpets with wet feet, Rooms should be tiled not carpeted. The bar is really loud at night and our room was 3 doors from it, But the next morning they moved us to a really nice quiet room.
We will definitely stay again, but far from bar :)

The personnel was nice and prompt when need be. Location was clean, great view, even had a horse show for free. Room was cleaned on the daily

Cons: the room didn't have an a/c unit, most outlets where not working that's why it lead us to think the stand fan was not working so we asked for a replacement, but it was the outlets not really working.
Outdated and overpriced, some of the stairwell where cluttered with still boxed tiles.

Overall it was a OK hotel, not worth the monies...

Room had a funny smell, mattress was very uncomfortable, the bathroom in general was very dirty, shower head had a lot of rust, lights in the bathroom were not working. Does not have AC only a cheap floor fan.
There was a continuous water pipe noise going on all day and all night.
Does not have locks on the room only the door nob.
The bathroom does not have anywhere to hang your towels, nowhere to hang the toilet paper, nowhere to put your body soap or body wash, nowhere to put your toothpaste.
Definitely not a good value for your money, better stay in a motel then pay this price for a outdated rundown room.

Room tip: The rooms in front of the beach which are more expensive have better quality. But not good quality.
