Do NOT waste your money!! $44 is too much to pay! I wouldnt stay again if you pid me!! I can't say 1 good thing.
Stayed here 5 nights in room 4 & it was worst experience ever!! Room was filthy, rusted lamp with no shade that didn't work, terrible cheap plastic covered old mattress, nasty stained pillows (look under pillow case OMG) bathroom was disgusting & had terrible odor and WORST part was we NEVER had HOT water!! Took cold showers who stay. Contacted management several times & all they could say was sorry!! Are you kidding? My husband is military & said he had much nicer accommodations when at war, if that says anything! Tried leaving after first night but was unable to find other vacancy on island. ONLY reason we endured this horrific place. Will NEVER return!!

We chose the hotel despite reading the terrible reviews because we booked at the last minute and there were no other options. We went into it with low expectations and we almost always stay in cheap hotels/hostels so we're used to not-as-nice accommodations.

Cons: Hotel Kokomo was, however, pretty bad. The hotel is loud from the bar below (louder than you would expect), there is absolutely no maid service (our garage was overflowing onto the floor), the shower and sink only put out ice cold water for 6/7 days of our stay (it's hard to take an ice cold shower, ok?) and the mattress is super hard and has a nasty plastic cover over it which you slide around on. Ick. Maybe the worst part is that no light comes in from the outside. You can't enjoy waking up to the beautiful, bright sun and you don't even know it's daylight because there is only a small window (at least in our room).

Pros: Lots of vans right outside to bring you to the beach, right downtown where all the restaurants are

Mind you, again, this is coming from someone who always stays in bottom-of-the-barrel places. If I could do it all over again, I would have spent more $ in order to get a better place. I'm sorry, but I don't recommend this hotel.

From the start of our three day trip to Culebra to the end we had a good experience with the Kokomo. Nothing fancy, but we knew that from the reviews and pricing. We rented the Sailfish PH suite. Two large bedrooms, bath, large open kitchen, living, dining area but the best part was the patio! Plenty of room for the four of us to kick back and relax. It was clean but needs a little makeover which one of the managers Mike said that they were going to do one unit at a time.
Overlooks the ferry dock and town, with a bakery, bar, pizza joint, bike rental, dive shop, and a couple of gifts shops right there. We spent Monday thru Wednesday, weekdays and it was quiet. But I imagine if it's sleep your looking for before midnight on a weekend your not going to find it without earplugs. There were three managers for the property (the bar and bakery and bike shop) are under the same management and same building, that were always available.

I stayed at kokomo and the only good thing that i found was the location, right in front of the ferry deck, but the costumer service was far away from good, the room was clean but look very old and whoever build it probably never had a hammer on their hand before (no construction skill at all) , and it was overpriced for $100, probably if they would charged me $45 or $50 i would not been complaining but i think it was too much money for this "hotel".

This is really a funny hotel. It's reception is hardly ever open, but you can always get things handled in the downstairs karaoke bar or the bakery shop. They all belong to the same system. We stayed in the suite and the room was good enough. Not luxurious, but good value for the money and wasn't expecting luxury, so we werew happy for what we got. Heard some people talking about the hotel being noicy, but we didn't notice that. Maybe the noice level is connected with the karaoke bar's activity level and it wasn't active that night.
