We were greeted at the door by a very friendly waitress who led us to a table for two - which we promptly changed for what we considered a better table! While our meals were being cooked we were able to help ourselves at the excellent salad bar, with a great variety of salad things and dressings to choose from. Out meals were nice and hot, well cooked and well presented. We have been here before, and will certainly come here again.

Hi Sue,

Sorry you feel this way but gammon is fatty. I can pass your comments on to the supplier as we dont have the pig out the back to slice of the meat. Sorry we are unable to do anything about it. I can speak to the team about your service but find it hard to believe that you were not provided with any cutlery and that the team refuse to give you some.

It was very quiet when we arrived , didn't like the service as the 2 waitresses didn't acknowledge us so we felt invisible but the young man at the bar took our order just in time as we were about to leave. Food we ordered was nice and hot and the young man was pleasent whilst he served us. Pity the waitresses wasn't as helpful.

Visited on Sat 10th March with family. Was greeted straight away and with a smile and warm welcome. We were shown to our seats and shortly greeted by a friendly waiter named Simon. He was very jolly, friendly and attentive. The restaurant was mid busy but there didn't seem enough staff to cope efficiently with the customers and he was clearly rushed off his feet.
The food was hot, well presented and tasty. The salad bar was adequately stocked and all seemed fresh.
The reason for my low rating was the cleanliness of the restaurant. When we were seated I had to change the cruets with another table as they were coated in bits of dry food. The food menu was sticky and also had traces of dried food on. Just before our main course arrived, served by a different waitress...., I expected our salad bowls and cutlery to be moved from the table, or at least immediately after arriving, and potentially even offered fresh cutlery/napkins. Instead they sat there for the entire meal.
I asked for the drinks menu and was told there wasn't one as they are currently changing it. Surely you would keep the old one going until you are ready for an imminent change? I would of ordered a bottle of wine but due to not being able to browse the list, I settled for a beer.
Like I said, the food was all good, hot and fresh. It is just a shame that the main aspect of what you expect when you enter the restaurant really let this place down on our visit.

On arrival we were shown to our table and had to negotiate a filthy floor. Chips, bread rolls and chicken bones were strewn across the floor. I appreciate they may have been busy but we were there for 2 hours and the same food was on the floor when we left. Nobody had swept up!
The guy taking our order actually said "I'm not gonna lie, I can't pronounce that" when reading the order back to us and got to the aubergine and lentil tagine. By they way, the "flat bread" served with said tagine is actually a cold flour tortilla!
One minute they had no Smirnoff and had to serve Absolut (which is more expensive) but for the second drinks round the Smirnoff had miraculously appeared.
The girl serving the three starters didn't know what each dish was and the kids meals arrived 15 minutes before the main meals (and they had no fish fingers for the kids). Unfortunately, half of the main meals were cold. Some were quite crispy on top and had clearly been sitting under the heat lamps waiting for the person who was sweeping up to go and collect the food. Oh, wait...
The whole experience was very haphazard with not enough staff and clearly not enough training for the staff who were on duty. Although it's a mid range restaurant, it's far too bad to be charging the prices it does. There's a reason it's not very busy!
