We spent over £100 to go to Chessington Park & Zoo for 2 adults 2 children. Even though it was raining we thought we’d still have some fun. Express parking and checkin were all good and easily located. We arrived at the front of the queue with plenty of time to spare.

The Vampire ride was great. However, several of the big rides we wanted to go on (Pirate ship Black Buckaneer) and Log Flume were closed till May. We weren’t told about this till we asked a warden after trying to find the rides on a map, and we might not have gone if we had known this.

Also the Dragon’s Fury broke down constantly most of the day and we queued for over 1.5 hours to finally get a ride.
The carriages were only using 2 out of 4 seats due to "extreme weather” conditions. It was raining a little but not sure if this was extreme weather conditions.

A real disappointment feel let down by our experience today and priced at over £100 for a family wasn't worth the money.
Hope other families are luckier than us and the majority of the rides are actually open for them.

Thank jamie g

Rainy Days though maybe a bit quieter, rides kept breaking down on us and very few actually working.

When we left offered a free return on their rainy day offer but doesn't benefit us as we are merlin pass holders. Some may find this advice of the rainy day helpful.

Thank Jim B

Although the weather wasn't great still a great place to hang out especially if you have Merlin passes. I bring my own food for myself and the kids only because the food is expensive and there are always long queues. There are outside stalls to win giant toys and donuts. Disappointed that dragon falls plus the boat ride was closed. Loved the new gruffalo ride though.

We travelled a fair distance to visit chessington. There were lots of rides closed and then .ore rides closed early due to rain. The place was virtually empty by early afternoon due to ride closures. I contacted Chessington to see if there would be any discount on future visit as we didn't get a chance to use the full park.
The response was, sorry our terms and conditions say no.
Pity as our family will now spend our money at another park which treats it's customers fairly.
Poor show Chessington. If your park isn't fully operational, how can you think it's acceptable to charge full price.

Even though the weather was against us from the very beginning of the bank holiday, we had a great time at Chessington World of Adventures. We tried both the pizza restaurant and the fish and chip café during our 3 day trip, on both occasions the restaurants were full to capacity, this lead to long waits in the food queues, problems that I think will be sorted out due to inexperienced staff and an early Easter and cold wet weather that deterred anyone from eating their picnics. A problem that we had with a grabber machine was quickly and efficiently sorted. The queues for rides were not over long and we managed to see all the park in all kinds of weather, even if some of the animals were a bit elusive - but who can blame them !
