On our way to Germany we stopped again at our favorite hotel and restaurant.
Amazing friendly staff and a warm welcome.
Excellent food and wines. Restaurant Pirandello is probably in the top 3 of best restaurants we ever eaten at.

We enjoyed our overnight stay at this country side hotel, which is a member of SLH (Small Luxury Hotels). The hotel is located very close to Vaals, Aachen & Maastricht so plenty of options for sightseeing in the area. We were in Suite #55 (Paganini), which was a loft-style suite with a nice sitting area and an extra bed in the upstairs loft area - so ideal if you are three people. The suite is located on the 2nd floor, so it requires you to be able to carry your luggage up the stairs. Breakfast was included and was served in their main restaurant which has a nice garden view setting.
Although we stayed only 1 night, I would recommend at least a 2-night visit.

We stayed 1 night here for my son's birthday as we were travelling round Europe in our camper van. It is located next to a fabulous indoor ski centre and outdoor climbing centre which is well worth a visit for families.
The hotel has real charm and although it is in an urban area it has a rural feel. It has a central courtyard where we had dinner and the food was excellent. It is a shame that they don't serve a more extensive menu in the courtyard as we didn't want the formality of the restaurant.
The suites are really unusual and lovely and perfect for us with a family with one child though they charge extra for a child aged over 3 which is a shame as many hotels don't. They looked after us really well and the staff were superb. They organised a card and chocolate gift for my son's birthday and a dessert with sparkler to celebrate too which was really well appreciated and made the night for him. He also loved the loft like feel to the suite and having his own area in the room away from his parents. The suite is spacious overall but the bathroom was on the small side and it is a shame that the shower isn't separate to the bath. The door is also quite tight with the stairs and the lighting could be improved in the suite. Breakfast was excellent and the freshly squeezed orange juice was delicious. A great selection of fruit, yoghurt, croissants and cooked items.

I can't recommend this hotel high enough. I travel on business 100 nights/year and this hotel is the best. The checkin and checkout were seamless. Beautiful and flavorful breakfast in a sunlit room. Nice Limburg cuisine at dinner. Located in forest for jogging.
