Before going here, we had one excellent and one very good dinner in CadAques, both expensive. Settings were lovely, etc. - no complaint. For the third night, we wanted to dial down the expense and we found Mama Aicha on TA. Frankly, it was our best meal in Cadaques. Yes, the family runs the place and we met both Mama and her very appealing son. We took our own wine, as there is no corkage fee. We had three dishes - the avocado salad and a meat filled pastry w salad for starters. Outstanding, and then we shared an ananchovy tagine with tomatoes and potatoes that I could not do justice in describing. We slowed down to savor each fantastic bite. And the setting was the modest garden of what is obviously the family home, which we found charming and intimate. The cost was less than half the other dinners. Do yourself a favor and find Mama’s.
