The check in reception was very difficult to find.It was a few miles from the complex and a total waste of time, as we did not receive any useful information, except that we were in the Canaries and when it rains you may get cockroaches and ants in the apartment. Having visited the Canaries many times with no problems in the past, we were very wary. Directions and access information were useless which caused us to take nearly an hour to find entrance and gain access to the apartment. On entering the apartment we were greeted by a huge cockroach which I kicked outside. First impressions in the living area were good but as you look close at other areas you get a different feeling. Bathroom shower curtains were dirty, grout on tiles in shower and other areas mouldy and in need of maintenance. Wardrobes in bedrooms were damp which caused an unpleasant smell, bed sheets clean but bed covers were grubby, cushions in main bedroom had signs of mould on them and smelt. Outside pool furniture was in very poor condition and needs replacing, with no umbrella for this apartment available.There was no information in the apartment which caused no access to WIFI for two days. We were told by others staying in the complex that there had been a theft in our apartment days before we arrived, which left us feeling vulnerable. During our stay there were people entering the complex, unannounced, looking around on several occasions. In my opinion the complex is in need of refurbishment and some TLC.
