My husband and I visited this hotel in mid February and hit Majorca's worst winter in 55 years! We woke up on our first morning to an alpine like view, at least six inches of snow. This however did not spoil our holiday in fact it made it in many respects. The hotel was superb and catered to our every need especially in the snowy conditions. From the welcome coffee on our arrival to the excellent recommendations by Ignatio for restaurant reservations. We stayed in the most fabulous suite with three spacious and beautifully decorated rooms. Our one evening meal at the hotel was delicious and breakfast was wholesome and fresh with excellent service. All in all a fabulous stay. We hope to return again in the summer when the temperatures should be a little less chilly!

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the pool have fabulous views over the valley.

Great hotel, great food and great views. Our 12 year has a gluten allergy, they catered brilliantly for her. We will be back !

Surrounded by stunning views in a peaceful location. Perfect for friends or couples getaway. Rooms are all different but all very lovely. Staff are very attentive. The town is a short walk away with a few cafe's and shops. I can particularly recommend the villa rooms with have Jacuzzi on the patio and a pool & gardens shared with 3 other rooms. I agree the hotel is not stuffy, it has charm, style and feels luxurious.

We stayed at the 5-star boutique Gran Hotel Son Net last week for one night, after attending a concert in the hotel by Spanish pianist David Gómez. And we’ll certainly go back. Don’t be put off by the Gran Hotel part of the name: the property is luxurious and stylish but it’s not stuffy and you can feel comfortably at home here. In fact, the place was once the family home of the owner - who also owns Chateau Eza in the south of France.

If you’ve an eye for art, look out for the original works that hang in the hotel, by artists including Hockney and Chagall. The chimney lounge has a large fireplace, where a log fire was crackling on the evening we were there. And it’s not hard to relax in the stylish but comfortable bar, on one of the huge sofas.

We stayed in the spacious Ramon Llull room (all rooms are named after a prominent person from Mallorca’s past). Things we particularly noted were the comfortable beds (I want one of those pillows), generous wardrobe space and padded hangers, efficient heating system, and the rocking chair placed by the window. In the large marbled bathroom, we were pleased to find L’Occitane toiletries, a large bath (taps in the middle on one side) and a huge shower cubicle.

When we opened the shutters next morning, we experienced the full benefit of the hotel’s fantastic position, on a hilltop looking over the small village of Puigpunyent and backed by the foothills of the Tramuntana mountain range (now a UNESCO World Heritage Site).

This is the first winter that the hotel has stayed open (many Mallorcan hotels close over the winter months) and it’s certainly a romantic place to spend a cosy winter break - in a part of Mallorca that will surprise anyone who associates the island only with beach summer holidays.

Amazing place. Excellent location in small village. Quiet guests made the stay as a total recharge of batteries. We booked a suite with superb aminities. Tastefull interiors and furniture. Bathroom will pamper you. PS! Not ideal to bring you'r children here, especially in the excellent restaurant. Do not miss any oppurtunity to stay here. We will come back for sure. Even better than the pictures reflects.
