No support at all of the owners when something was wrong. I wrote them the following letter after the first week of our holiday. We received no response at all until the moment that they needed to contact us about informing is to leave our house at 11 am at day of departure. They just contacted us when they needed their money or when they wanted to inform us about leaving the house in time.
-At arrival: We called Cati, as requested. We told her that we would arrive in 1 hour. She sounded a little surprised but she told that she would be in the house. When we arrived nobody was there. We called Cati again at her phone, but now nobody picked up. That worried us and is unacceptable. We also tried ringing the doorbell of number 2. Someone opened the door and told us that we had to be at number 2A. After 15 minutes waiting in front of the house, luckily someone arrived to let us in but only to collect the tax. He knew nothing about the house. We asked him for the swimming pool (because pictures on the internet show a central swimming pool) and he just told us that there is no swimming pool. After immediate checking, we told him that some lights did not work. He said that he would inform Cati. Until now, we have seen nobody to fix it.
-The house: The information says that there is airco in all rooms. However, only two bedrooms have airco. Pictures on the internet show a central swimming pool. However, this is a pool from the bar on the corner of the street. This is misleading information. A coffee machine was missing (there were 2 in a bag in the shed but not clean and for use). We bought one ourselves. Also a manual of the washing machine was missing. We solved this to look on the internet. In the shed are two bikes. However, both flat tires and no repairs available. No manual about the wifi. We had to find out ourselves.
-The neighbourhood: It looks like that many of our neighbours like dogs. When they bark, they do nothing against it. It even seems that when there are not at home they let the dogs in the yard barking. Terrible.
I would recommend this property if you are looking to stay close to the beach, restaurants and bars of central port alcudia, when I made my booking I requested a travel cot and high chair, unfortunatly the high chair wasn't there but the lady handing over the keys ( unfortunatly couldn't speak English) rang the owner of the property who arranged for a chair to be brought over the following day. I would recommend taking a mobile high chair with you as the chair brought over had no front bar or belt, the restaurants in the area have similar high chairs and aren't suitable for babies. The property was clean and tidy, we would have liked a folder with some recommended places to eat, taxi numbers ect... But the owner spoke English and said we could ring if we needed.
We really enjoyed our stay here. Great for families and kids. Good location for the price, there were lots of nearby stores and the beach only 15-20 min walk away. The owners were very accommodating and went out of their way to get us a travel cot and bedding for our little one. We love to cook on holiday and felt the kitchen had ample dishes and utensils, and big BBQ out back. Which is great to see in a holiday rental. It was very comfortable with ample linens and air conditioning.
We would definitely stay again!
