We stayed here for one week all inclusive from June 29th to July 6th, two adults and a child of three.

We had a fantastic family room, two bathrooms, four beds, two wardrobes, large balcony - was the best room i have ever stayed in plus it overlooked the pool and beach - was lovely!

Air conditioning was a godsend on this holiday as it was soo hot, the room cooled down within minutes and it was heaven!!ha!

Food was lovely, there was always something to eat, and i am a picky eater! On two occasions there was a carvery and it was delicious!

We only went to the pool three times as we prefer to go out for walks during the day but the three times we were there we got a sunbed/table chairs and it was never overcrowded (this being the childrens pool, not the main pool). We did sit at the bar a few times though (overlooking the main pool) and it was lovely.

Entertainment at night was fantastic for my daughter, she loved it, she is a very shy child but was up every night at the mini disco, and she absolutely loved the blonde haired woman entertainer (didnt get her name!)! We went to Mimosa Park last year and only stayed in the hotel to watch entertainment once, it was rubbish and getting a drink took ages, this year at Palma Nova we stayed everynight bar two (which we went out) and loved it, bar was never busy (longest wait 1minute at most!) and there was always room to sit, entertainment was great too, couldnt fault it.

Rooms were cleaned everyday and the hotel itself was spotless.

The location of this hotel is fantastic, a two minute walk (past Golf Fantasia) to the beach.

I dont know what all these bad reviews are all about, obviously people who are expecting a 5* from a 3* hotel, if you want a 5* you need to pay for it!! This is a lovely hotel!

I would definately recommened this hotel, and if i ever return to Palma Nova i will definately be staying at this hotel again.

Brilliant!

Room Tip: We stayed in room 615, its the end room and is huge! the biggest i have stayed in, it also overlooks...

Stayed here for a week at beginning of July as a group of 4 girls. We chose to stay in Palmanova as we wanted a quieter place to chill out during the day and to be nearby Magaluf for the nightlife. There was a mix of guests when we were there, a few groups of stag parties but mostly families and older couples. The rooms were perfectly clean as was the dining room, so no complaints for that side of things. However, the decor of the dining room is very very outdated and could definitely do with a makeover. The choice of food at mealtimes was reasonable and although it was edible, was very bland and do not expect anything too exotic! Majority of things deep fried and any fish or meat dishes available usually had no seasoning/sauce/flavour; but then again, cannot expect gourmet cuisine from a 3* hotel, so you get what you pay for really The entertainment was pretty dire, mostly just 3 people singing and dancing along to 1990s children party songs every night until the disco (which was usually good when people got up to dance) at about 10.30pm. When they attempted entertainment poolside it was mostly, again, just the 'entertainers' dancing like idiots to irritating music for about 20 minutes to which nobody showed any interest. In the aspect of sunbeds, it does get busy quite early but my group never had a problem in finding any even when arriving in the afternoon. The area around the hotel is very nice, very close to the beach and the mini golf course opposite the hotel is definitely worth a visit. However, my friend's purse got stolen from her bag one day when walking to the beach and my phone got stolen one evening whilst out in Magaluf, so keep your valuables in a zipped pocket within in your bag and keep your things in the safe (available in your room for 25 euros) when not needed. My friend who got her purse stolen was understandably very upset, and the hotel staff were quite frankly an absolute JOKE. The only Thomas Cook rep there on that day basically couldn't care less and directed us to the concierge to help us organise a police report, but on the day the concierge was not available, so were told to wait until the next day. We went back the next day and the girl on reception sent us on a trek to the next hotel where we could find the concierge, when we got there she was absolutely useless and we got sent to the police station by ourselves where they spoke little english. After a lot of confusion we just had to wait until the evening when our rep, Chris, was in the hotel. He was very understanding and apologised for what had happened, and eventually we were sorted with his help. Still, this was a total waste of the last day of our holiday and the staff did not care at all. Overall, we had a good holiday but personally would not go back to this particular hotel, although I would recommend it in some aspects for those who are on a budget.

i have just returned after 10 nights in the hi palmanova, i was with a large party of family and children. the food is edible but forgetable, the staff were friendle and polite, the rooms were basic but very clean, the entertainment staff ( Angie, Rob, Tarja and James) were very friendly and worked hard to keep us all smiling. the only thing that i could realy complain about was the air conditioning in the entertainment area of an evening, the entertainmen suffered because it was far too hot in the room so guests were forced to sit outside or go to other local bars. we complained but just kept getting fobbed off, we felt sorry for the staff having to work in these conditions but we were just fighting and losing battle.
the pool was nice and clean but on occations was a little overcrouded and loungers by the pool were impossible to get, we spent most of our time on the terrace above the bar but that wasnt a problem.
during the end of our holiday the hotel seemed to be overtaken by stag and hen groups who were at times very noisy and inconsidderate to other guests, they were having parties in thier rooms and running up and down corridoors banging on peoples doors at all times during the night.
i still however had a great holiday as did my family and i would go back, so long as they sorted out that air conditioning :)

This kind of hotel attracts a very definite 'type' of guest who have fairly standardised expectations from their holiday. We booked to stay here out of desperation to get away from the appallingly bad British summer we are having this year. We travel quite extensively and this was by no means meant to be some sort of holiday of a lifetime, it was meant to be a quick cheap flight to somewhere in Europe for some sunshine for a week, which is certainly what we got.

This hotel will appeal to those folks who like to 'travel' to popular British tourist destinations without ever having to experience any sort of a culture shock. You will be surrounded by British people, with British entertainment staff and fairly bland, unremarkable food; you will be within a stones' throw of dozens of British bars serving British beer and showing British football on their massive TVs. It is not clear which country you are in exactly when you are lying around the pool, and it is largely irrelevant. The hotel provides a cheesy tacky 1980s ambience where patrons are not made to feel, uncomfortably, that maybe they are being made to experience a new culture or that they are ever at any time immersed in a different way of living, which most guests would run a mile from. You can stay at this hotel and more or less pretend you are in Blackpool or Bognor Regis, except it is so much hotter. (And it was HOT. About 35 degrees.) If this is what you are looking for, then you would be fairly well advised to come here.

The rooms are very basic and very clean. The walls are paper thin so earplugs are recommended. We did not have a hair dryer or an iron in our room so take one with you. The pool is constantly congested because most guests are disinterested in venturing out despite the beach only being a 2 minute walk away. For those who do like the beach, you can pop back to the hotel when you are thirsty and take drinks to the beach in plastic cups (all inclusive guests.) The food is edible and very bland. It is not disgusting and it is not delicious, it is dull mass catering. If expectations are realistic then there can be few disappointments. There are two small slow lifts. The reception staff are quite accomodationg and polite. The hotel is located at the far end of Palma Nova, furthest away from Magalluf. There are lots of bars and restaurants right on the doorstep. The night-time entertainment is corny, what little I saw of it, again very dated, cringy and uninspired. But lots of people seemed to like it so it clearly had some appeal. Most of the guests here are British working class. We enjoyed our week but spent most of it away from the hotel as it was merely a base for us. If you are the kind of person who likes to go to places such as Benidorm, Marmaris, Tenerife etc, and likes to stay in the hotel day and night eating and drinking your all inclusive fare and participating in ping-pong tournaments, you will probably love this place but might think the food is a bit basic. If the kind of trip I have just described fills you with horror, stay away from the Hotel Palma Nova and go somewhere else, like Soller. Be realistic; we pretty much knew what to expect and enjoyed ourselves anyway!
