stayed ere last may with my boyfriend first hol together we dd the all inclusive (what a joke) arrived at hotel 10pm starving !! Only food available was stale sarnys
from the bar great start to all inclusive hol we got a taxi straight into maggie n paid for meal out n drinks
hotel itself is very dated and in need of reburshment pool
area was very small n packed better to walk 10min to beach than stay at hotel pool
breakfast buffet was same as any other 3star evening meal was poor tho one of the worst I've had ate out nearly every night
hotel overall is ok for cheap last min getaway but plz don't consider this place if it's your only yearly hol
much nicer hotels in this area

have stayed at hotel palma nova several times and are already booked to go back in may 2011. i dont understand the bad reviews some people write about this hotel; as we find everything about it is excellent. the food is varied and very well cooked, and always a good choice. the nightly entertainment is not as good as it used to be, due to cutbacks in the entertainment staff, but they do their best. the people we heard complaining about the food we noticed come into the restaurant, walk straight past the soup and beautiful salad bar, and head straight to the kids section for chips, burgers, pizzas etc., We see the same people who, like us, come back year after year so i think that speaks for itself about how good this hotel is.

We stayed in the Palma Nova Hotel mainly for it location, far enough away from the centre of Magaluf but close enough to get there for a night out! The rooms were very clean, you could occasionally here the neighbours but to be honest want in the room long enough to hear mucvh noise. The staff in the hotel were all very helpful and the entertainment team were good The actual entertainment was typical for a family hotel, lots of cheesy cabaret! The food I must say was good, there was always something tasty and there is plenty of choice though heard alot of people moaning-dont know what people are expecting to be honest!! The beach was just a hop, skip and a jump out of the back door and is absolutely goregous! Met lots of nice people and had a great laugh. There were alot of kids in the hotel but it was the school holidays so that was expected. Location wise, it was perfect for a quiet holiday if thats what you are looking for but would expect youngsters high season as its also great for going out, only a few euros into Magaluf!! All in all, really enjoyed!

My husband and I went for a weeks holiday on 22nd Oct - 29 Oct with Thomas Cook.

Cost £350.00 each all inclusive with flights and return transfers.

On arrival check-in was speedy.

Room very small and basic .. below average .. dreadful view, stuck in a corner overlloking rundown private (residential) apartments. Asked for room change, immediately, only to be informed that it was" full to capacity" so it wasnt possible. Think that was a little fib from male receptionist, LOL !!!

Pool area clean and well maintained, however, the pool bar closed on our second day which was very disappointing as it was very popular and its where the sun lasted the longest throughout the day. It was very pleasant to enjoy a few post sunbathing / pre-dinner drinks. It had been really busy so no lack of demand. Thats "end of season" for you, I suppose !!

Food adequate .. You will never starve unless you are incredibly fussy. Something for everyone.

I cant understand why so many people complain about cold food .... There is a microwave in the restaurant to heat food up if necessary, however, we only found it necessary on a couple of occassions.

Weather was fantastic, only had a couple of overcast mornings.

School hols but not too many kids and generally they were well behaved. Thanks Mums and Dads : )

Wouldnt like to stay peak season, pool area too small for size of hotel and sunbeds are always reserved !!

Food good, drinks very good ; )

Once again I cant understand why people complain about things that can be rectified !!!

Drinks were always served in plastic cups to take outside due to the proximity of the pool area for safety reasons .. Pefectly acceptable.

However if you were staying in the bar area or taking a drink to your room ... if you cared to ask .... then your drink would be seved in a "GLASS" glass .... even a PINT glass if you so wished. The bar staff are extremely obliging and fast to serve all customers.

Rooms cleaned daily and clean towels left if you leave dirty ones on bathroom floor.

Bed changed on arrival which is adequate, as I dont think many people change their beds more than once a week !

Location excellent. Loads of shops close-by. Bars and restaurants aplenty. Beach max 5 min stroll. Magaluf 10-15 min stroll.

Very, very quiet everywhere .. even Magaluf centre ... due to being end of season.

Rooms quite noisy even in October due to all floors being tiled .. wouldnt like to try and sleep in peak season.

Why do so many selfish, inconsiderate women choose to strutt about their rooms at all hours in high heeled shoes waking up anyone in the vicinity ??!!!??? Come on girls think about it !

Basic, clean hotel but in need of a face-lift.
